  1. Thank you. I don't really know why I turn the wheels that way, just to add some drama I suppose. Can still see alloys from other side and you can check out my tyre tread depths. I guess you can tell where the pics are taken (being a Wombourner).
  2. Sorry James - I was at the auction and only saw the call later on (and didn't have your number). I'm out all day tomorrow (wifes birthday) but I'll dig that missed call and call you on Friday?
  3. Erm... can you not apply for some Mastercards/Visa before you ditch your FT job?
  4. I was there today and it was ok but no steals - just one DS3 for me. Assured worked for me though - said engine was noisy and static gear selection needed attention - utter rubbish, drives sweat and gears spot on???
  5. Can you not simply pay for the stock on your CC (depending on how, where you source?)
  6. He must mean he cannot find the limiter function which should be in the MFD, MMI settings (or whatever VW call it). Or it may have a winter tyre mode (like Merc). Either way, I would suggest he bring it back to you so you can turn it off, cost zero (if I'm right)
  7. 5 Sold - 1 refunded (my choice at deposit stage, due to gearbox fault), so nett 4 and couple more viewings imminent
  8. Just painted the osr quarter plastic faded bumper on my Qashqai - used matt black aerosol and it looks mint, you'd never know. Trust me.
  9. Don't quote me but I am sure this only applies to 2014 and newer anyway?
  10. +1 and the mileage on that Z4 albeit low, is not low enough for any true purest IMO
  11. In reality, they can't - it is your property. Only the police or VOSA themselves can seize or confiscate a vehicle. Absolute nonsense - my MOT garage wouldn't have space for failed cars in any case as only has parking for around 15 cars including those in for service work.
  12. 56 plate 4WD Tekna with 73K - very very tidy and pan roof. Only remaining issue (besides steering wheel) is the keyless entry/start. Key guy has managed to cut second key and program for remote CL but cannot get the "intelligent" key to talk to the car - just does not recognise the key(s) - any suggestions?
  13. Out of interest, what possible reason would you have for arguing against it? This general forum is in the public domain and sometimes we need to discuss sensitive issues (CRA, specific cars etc) and the support from fellow traders without Joe Public witnessing the suggesstions is ideal IMO
  14. Nah - defo the flux capacitor
  15. It is the Qashqai that I need it doing on Thanks Guys
  16. Have any of you guys succesfully refurbished or had refurbished a steering wheel surround? Leather type is easy, I'm talking about the cheapie vinyl type peeling off. One of mine looks mint except for a worn gear shift (easy swap out) and a worn, peeling steering wheel. Obviously, I don't want to put a naff cover on it but is there something you can apply, spray on, wrap etc that will smarten things up. Someone with builders hands must have owned it at some point. Cheers
  17. I requested my invitation and it was granted within 24 hours - it is amazing in that secret room, the things we discuss, the secrets learned - wow
  18. I generally select and research (resale value, MOT history, three trade price platforms) around 40 cars per auction with a view to buying 2 or 3 - It is soul destroyingly boring but better than finding out afterwards. I set a maximum figure for each lot and am strict to within £50 of max and bid in running order (even if a more preferred car is running later on). Once I have my minimum 2, I come away becuase I don't "want to know" what could have been. I usually grab a couple of bargains and occassionaly steel the odd one - what do they say, throw enough shit at the wall and some will stick. I'm local to you Walsall (as in your name not the district) and often frequent BCA Walsall, Wolverhampton and Perry Barr.
  19. I've owned 10 Landy's RR Sport, Vogue, Disco They are sublime to drive when they are working, nothing comes close in terms of "how they make you feel" but again, when they work
  20. You can edit your intem whilst it's listed, no need to reshoot
  21. Hi Milkey My critique is as follows: It is priced right, but for a 55 plate Mini (whatever the spec) it looks expensive in the eyes of the followers (I have a standard Cooper on 55 plate at £1,795 no where near as nice as yours and the price attracts a lot of attention but having changed the clutch, I am not budging on price and people walk away + I am smoking it and have taxed it, so no incentive to push it out the door). I also have an 09 Cooper S with 71k and FSH listed this morning at £4,795, so I'm either side of you on price. Pictures are not sharp enough - either use your Iphone (I do) or sharpen the images usings Ebay's picture editor (the little triangle at about half way works). You can then right click each image and save those to other portals whom don't have editing functiuonality. I know this is subjective but I always list all the features albeit expected on that model - it just makes you look like you've made an effort and stand out from the rest and it saves people having to ring and ask stupid questions. Not sure what it owes you or how desperate you are to sell but I wouldn't panic yet. Preset Radio 2 into the stereo and play down the boy racer image - try and appeal to a middle aged bore whom is having a mid-life crisis. Oh wait, that's me................
  22. Do you have link to one of your ads. I have more calls about my Mini’s than any other car - they may be shite but they sell IMO
  23. I sort of agree with Justina3 Sounds almost too good to be true. It is almost (and I do mean almost) akin to being an employee, someone gives you a site and some cars to sell - isn't that a salesperson for a dealership? Except, they would guarantee you a salary, provide a co. car, pension, not charge you any rent to sell their cars and give you commission on each sale with no come backs. The only added value is that you can sell your own cars as well.
