  1. I think they are probably the ultimate super mini car to look at (budget wise). I have only bought one, in white S spec and it sat around forever and ever - I keep being tempted because they look better than most jelly mould cars, then I remember and take a sanity check.
  2. Before I advertise properly? https://www.imperial-marques.co.uk/cars/iveco/daily/35s11/220552/
  3. Can't wait for an update on this customer care policy There, a bit of abuse for you. I once rang for some feedback to be left, ended up costing me a radiator and coolant (Warrantywise declined and the owner took it on the chin, so I ended up paying, she didn't ask, I offered to be fair). Exactly what I was trying to say but you made it clearer.
  4. I would be in there by now, not considering it.
  5. I always find expired car parking tickets, annoyingly deep between the windscreen and dashboard. I have just pulled out 2 off BCA magnetic damage rulers, they're now stuck to my office cupboard.
  6. Agree with all of that. I wouldn't even mention the EML unless it comes on whilst they are there. I would simply say, "the car is booked in for PDI on Friday and I will call you to arrange a suitable collection date." At this stage, I would get the fault fixed or refund the deposit if not viable. Mention the EML and you'll scare them off over something and nothing possibly.
  7. Don't get too excited, 39,000 of those views are me and I'm full of useless information
  8. I would be fairer than that and mop up this Toyota and Mr C's Beemer for £4,000 for the two - save me an auction run. Send me the postcodes for Movex
  9. I am sorry to learn that you have issues with the car you have recently purchased from us. We always strive to offer reliable cars regardless of cost; This said, given the retalively low value of your vehicle, it is uneconomical for us to perform a repair. Fortunately, we are reputable dealer and as such we have made an offer to refund the vehicle in full and without any deduction for usage, the only requirement on you being that the vehicle needs to be returned to us within 24 hours with any original documentation, keys and should be in the same physical condition as when you collected the car. If we do not hear from you, we shall presume that you are happy to keep the car with all of the faults present and that our offer will expire on 7th November at 10.00 am. (24 hours after receiving letter/email). RECORDED DELIVERY
  10. This Worst case you'll end up with a ton of scrap but an over expectant customer out of your life.
  11. Are you my real Father? That is more or less word for word what I wrote the other day - so needless to say, I agree with it all.
  12. Don’t count your chickens and do what AD says - buy small Japanese stuff if you’re adamant about doing small stuff. Stratergising to sell small cars to first time drivers is a very brave move and you’re welcome to it.
  13. My only advice and this stems from early noughties, when I first got burned. Don’t buy Vauxhall - shit cars and even worse punters IMO. I did fold and saw a low mileage white/black roof Corsa and took a punt - 6 days later it broke. I have had two rejections this year - Vauxhall Meriva - twice.
  14. Given the choice, I would never drive a manual again. Someone said to me when I was 18 (in a new classic Range Rover) - once you've driven an auto, you'll never go back. That was 27 years ago and that person was spot on and other than for the purposes of this trade, I have never wanted an "own use" car with a clutch (except my Transit).
  15. I was always told you "drive" a BMW, whereas in a Merc, you're "driven."
  16. I am not a techie, so be gentle. I presume they're electric and therefore the header tank does not exist.
  17. I suggest you start an Everyman type business. I.e. rent out unaffordable cars for a couple of hundred quid, return and repeat.
  18. I bet you'll still say in your video: This car hasn't been valeted ladies and gentlemen, this car is exactly as it came to me - all it has had is a quick wash, quick vac and the tyres dressed Can you tell I have watched your videos
  19. You might be right Dave but I have sold every car that has been test driven since the change. Prior to that, I had messers, wanting me to move cars and dirty the floor just for a jolly.
  20. I get all sorts, which is why EVERY car now has this displayed below the price board. TEST DRIVES ARE ONLY PERFORMED AFTER A SALE HAS BEEN AGREED IF DURING THE TEST DRIVE THE VEHICLE DOES NOT PERFORM OR FUNCTION PROPERLY YOU ARE UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO COMPLETE THE SALE The Focus ST was the catalyst (test pilots and they're not even quick, infact I hate the 40 year old chav mobiles). I judge the punter accordingly and if they appear genuinely willing to deal, I void my notice and offer a test drive.
  21. We have all been there mate - I was for the first two weeks of October but the tap suddenly got turned on. Only did 6, so low numbers but the margins were all into 4 figures (and one by nearly 3x that), so returns were one of my better months (May being best to date). Good luck Mat but I'm sure you won't need it.
