Your favourite auction bidding strategy...
Mark101 replied to Nick M.K.'s topic in General Dealer Chat
Similar for me - I got dropped off at BCA Tewkesbury (remember that?) armed with a list of a dozen or so potential purchases = lift back. Nothing bought with only 5 cars left to go of which 3 or 4 were immediately pulled off sale, leaving a Saab 9000. It was this or a long cold train, so I took it at £900 + fees. Air bag light was on (when those sort of things could spell disaster). Upon checking, it was a Griffith Turbo (sought after apparently) and made £3,500 on eBay with enquiries coming out of my ears. -

Even Online, I like to sense the buzz around a particular car - i.e. let others be your gauge as to how good the car really is. No one bidding or very slow, it is probably in a poor state, either mechanically or cosmetically, so no proxy bids here (unless I have been to see the car beforehand). -
Wow, who needs to spread £30 over a year - oh yes, most of my customer's
-
I don't think you can DD £30 RFL, it's one off only.
-
It is more the principal but my thoughts are the same as yours AD, it's not like it's a £550 Range RFL. Customer is paying for the tax anyway, was just hoping to save £30 but probably not worth the risk as you say. Thanks chaps

I taxed a car to use last month using the new keeper supplement (only a £30 er) but I have just sold the car and it is being collected tonight. Do I need to tax it again, or will that tax carry over to the new owner (as I didn't change the V5 keeper details last time). I can't see it being any different to when we "hold back" sending a V5 off for a few weeks in case of rejection. TIA

That must be what the rep meant then, I thought she meant the commission not just the metal.

Cheers David I am excited for some extra ££££'s Incidentally, Close told me they pay out the same day, directly into your account?
-
It's my fault. I obtained my FCA licence a couple of weeks back and Close has provided access to Showroom, so I'm all set to.................get declined by the sounds of it.

I'm such a bore, I reckon I could recite each of the 12 episodes word for word - my favourite ever. I have the box set, the audio books, recorded on the Humax

Still can't decide on the best episode: Communication Problems, The Hotel Inspectors or Basil the Rat

I just googled the error message and one of the first relevant pages was the DS3 forum - it was on there.

I don't mind replenishing the additive and/or replacing the DPF if that is what's required. Just a lack of information and a lot of amateur information online, one even saying it's simple you just change the air filter.

Thanks Stalker - I will take a look.

I tend to agree with you unfortunately. The best we can hope for is that we can "convince" a customer they don't have a case by at least understanding the CRA. But....I'm with you, if they pursue it rightly or wrongly, they will more than likely win.

Citroen DS3 finally sold yesterday. After driving for a while (I smoked it for a week whilst waiting for Disco to be offically re-imported). Says something along the lines of "risk of particulate filter blocking" and service light. I think these PSA engines have an additive tank underneath as well as the DPF itself but despite a thorough look on Google, there is nothing decisive and even (apparently) main dealers, Citroen struggle with a fix (one suggesting, new tank, new fluid, new DPF and possibly a new ECU). Now obviously this is bollocks. I have had this car since May, so to say I am happy that it has finally gone is an understatement but just looking for some pointers please. My reader does not read DS3 for a forced regen (does every other Citroen model and I tried C3 usuing same engine but will not communicate). Customer wants the car ASAP (don't they always) - I have said give me until Tuesday, TIA

I have a timelapse of me doing the garden this year but as I am fat and am not wearing a t shirt, I shall spare you the pain. PS: Now that Tradex has resigned, sorry I mean retired...am I now officially the fattest "active" trader? -
