  1. Looks big enough to get the whole heat gun through Has the patch got 30 day return on it via the CRA cos top left corner looks a little too creased to stand the tension of a wash and wear garment and varying temperatures of a washing machine , also it might just stretch and a stitch could drop causing gross discomfort to the wearer taking into account of the weather variations coming up over the guarantee period of the CRA act eg "6 months " If this was the case is there any compensation for the wearer who may have caught a cold , or experience flu type symptoms which would affect the wearers ability to earn an income . Even though this garment was a free gift I assume the repairer now takes FULL responsibility for any guarantee claims .relating to the garment supplied .
  2. Deep Breathe , puffed out mate after taking breathe to read that Chain , guides and tensioner needs changing is my bet , Didn't you see rust on the PDI ? when it was on a ramp ? Being inspected before sale ? Rusty car must be a high mile car that was cheap ? Needs your details for court action presumably, Wasn't your details on receipt you gave the customer ?
  3. £400 profit , WOW profit is a long dead thought in some traders heads We took £1,200 profit out of a cheap £500 px
  4. Golf Mate , fried it big time . The dealer has never allowed it since , hard lesson
  5. ooooh Financial advisor for 5 k , she has a lot to learn doesn't she Got any two seaters then , get two sales then tell him and have the bonus of a spare one too
  6. Take the rear number plates off WOW Nick , I'd have to have super glued that back I'm thinking and changed his wheel nut , " joking or am I mmmm " I would never let anyone near our cars with a scanner , seen a cheap one of those spike an ECU once , £850 fix that was . Great deal in the end though , good call .
  7. wife says i should bid , we may get along great she says "apart from leaking at the rear "
  8. LOL Never been in a union , Could be a new experience
  9. Amazing how the customer complains stuff is missing isnt it They are the beggars that NICK stuff in the first place when they swap em . No doubt half of Ebay has it for sale at some point . Had the thieving beggars bring Px's back a week later with tyres swapped for bald ones and such Worst i remember seeing was a complete interior had been changed for one that was knackered , why he wanted 5 days to collect his new car no doubt .Was totally shocked that I'd seen it , denial till I shown him pictures That cost him the PX as I said no deal , Paid the balance too so had no choice but to find the rest and sell his Knacker Himself
  10. Bet they would change their view if we all returned the terminals on same day . Little to no hope I admit , but it might come to the card companies just going to far and thinking we need them more than they need us . We have cut our usage of card deals to over 75% less since it went % based charge system , amounts to 160k / 200k a month down on average Credit cards were first to go , Now ZERO use. Debit cards May Follow soon as only wants a straw and camels back senerio cash and bank transfer for the larger stuff are king . Might even start with Cheques again and collect next week
  11. May lady luck be on your side too. 200k won't last long in this industry . Hope it works out , god knows you've spent too much already eg 7k for insurance is eyewatering as a sole trader , plate fees , bca fees , adverts costs and you haven't got a single car yet . Brave guy I'll give you that All the best
  12. That will be comfortable then not er Every day is a learning day Del
  13. They don't work " simples " not if but when You just have to hope its 6 months plus down the line if your brave enough to retail . We dispose is if taken as PX and the customer gets offered shall we say less than little for them . Retail one , NEVER not ever .
  14. Had the sweetest old couple in here two years ago . Sat down to buy the car and card was declined , no worries I have another card I'll fetch it " 100 miles away mmmmm " Long story short he did ring and wanted to pay on card and his brother would fetch it as he lived close " suspicious " I said NO but use bank transfer , Told me to F### off and rang off . No answer when i rang back either . Now the same couple did have another traders trousers down as they obviously were doing the rounds scamming cars . He lost two cars , He must of looked easy . Only found it was the same couple later on when he told me he'd lost two cars Moral is DONT TAKE MONEY OVER THE PHONE UNLESS YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE IT . Hard lesson learned there Nick . I don't take credit cards at all "Full Stop" they always find a way to pay you when met with a serious NO to taking any amount on a credit card Love the finance switch ,works too
  15. They only want one because they find out its £300 . If it wasnt pictured then it hasnt got one " simples " PDI sheet , its a used car , hasn't got the same tyres on as when it was new either has it .
  16. Because there is far better commission deals to be had by NOT using them . Never heard of Zuto offering Commission myself , but if they offered me £350 on 8k I'd tell them to shove it where the sun doesn't shine . Close , Blue , Moto Novo eg are so much quicker with decisions too , Sub prime worries me as they cant get prime how are they going to look after their car . Just my view .
  17. Make sure you get a good deposit is my view . Had a black one for ever at low miles , and great history , A VW nut was the buyer in the end . Nice little car though in my mind , loaded with toys , but thats the problem i think as it makes them look expensive for a toy car with little street cred for the young un's , Round here anyway
  18. This is a WIND Up isn't it You will need more than 200k to invest my friend ,not worth having you around for that amount. Try again when you have saved some more money . The profit on that small investment wouldn't pay the paper work to make it worth thinking about I'm OUT
  19. Knowing nothing about cars with 200k but wanting to place 200k with an unknown trader is ONE VERY Brave move my friend . I'd hit the roulette tables , more chance of profit there i reckon Hope the 200k is disposable , Good luck with that venture
  20. My wife takes our dog walk car 175,000 miles px A3 100 quider to waitrose . Hilarious reactions from the other Audi Merc Beemer types BUT you don't get any dinks in your paintwork as NO one parks at the side of it Even seen one Jag driver Move his car when we parked up If only they knew
  21. I don't trade from home or the kitchen thankyou , never have done
  22. Give a 6 month basic warranty free . engine , gear box and axle diff eg "drive train " Then up sell same 6 months but cover more, eg standard warranty " price eg £199
  23. Do your own warranty , then the upsell goes in your wallet " simples " Try doing the sums of buying 3rd party warranty who wont pay anyway . Say £200 for 6 months X if your small 4 cars a months = £800 X 12 months = £9600 saved ,no brainer isn't it . Bigger you get more you save . Then when your into it , go upselling 50% up sell = £199 to cover more items for same 6 months , £398 a month based on 4 sales = £4,776 profit . Prep Prep Prep is the golden rule , then give a warranty of your own , and watch the money mount up instead of flushing it down the drain hole of the 3rd party guys . Just my way of thinking , I sell 19/25 cars a month , 70% upsell ,do the sums makes me smile . 3rd Party warranties are so Yesterday thinking now days in my head
  24. Give the customer the yellow slip is the correct way , or do it online and print out the swap to trade so customer knows its done . Then it never going to be your fault . I do the V5 online but px cars get the yellow slip signed and stamped , then given to customer , their contract is then, them & DVLA "simples "
