  1. Because there is far better commission deals to be had by NOT using them . Never heard of Zuto offering Commission myself , but if they offered me £350 on 8k I'd tell them to shove it where the sun doesn't shine . Close , Blue , Moto Novo eg are so much quicker with decisions too , Sub prime worries me as they cant get prime how are they going to look after their car . Just my view .
  2. Make sure you get a good deposit is my view . Had a black one for ever at low miles , and great history , A VW nut was the buyer in the end . Nice little car though in my mind , loaded with toys , but thats the problem i think as it makes them look expensive for a toy car with little street cred for the young un's , Round here anyway
  3. This is a WIND Up isn't it You will need more than 200k to invest my friend ,not worth having you around for that amount. Try again when you have saved some more money . The profit on that small investment wouldn't pay the paper work to make it worth thinking about I'm OUT
  4. Knowing nothing about cars with 200k but wanting to place 200k with an unknown trader is ONE VERY Brave move my friend . I'd hit the roulette tables , more chance of profit there i reckon Hope the 200k is disposable , Good luck with that venture
  5. My wife takes our dog walk car 175,000 miles px A3 100 quider to waitrose . Hilarious reactions from the other Audi Merc Beemer types BUT you don't get any dinks in your paintwork as NO one parks at the side of it Even seen one Jag driver Move his car when we parked up If only they knew
  6. I don't trade from home or the kitchen thankyou , never have done
  7. Give a 6 month basic warranty free . engine , gear box and axle diff eg "drive train " Then up sell same 6 months but cover more, eg standard warranty " price eg £199
  8. Do your own warranty , then the upsell goes in your wallet " simples " Try doing the sums of buying 3rd party warranty who wont pay anyway . Say £200 for 6 months X if your small 4 cars a months = £800 X 12 months = £9600 saved ,no brainer isn't it . Bigger you get more you save . Then when your into it , go upselling 50% up sell = £199 to cover more items for same 6 months , £398 a month based on 4 sales = £4,776 profit . Prep Prep Prep is the golden rule , then give a warranty of your own , and watch the money mount up instead of flushing it down the drain hole of the 3rd party guys . Just my way of thinking , I sell 19/25 cars a month , 70% upsell ,do the sums makes me smile . 3rd Party warranties are so Yesterday thinking now days in my head
  9. Give the customer the yellow slip is the correct way , or do it online and print out the swap to trade so customer knows its done . Then it never going to be your fault . I do the V5 online but px cars get the yellow slip signed and stamped , then given to customer , their contract is then, them & DVLA "simples "
  10. I do believe the car has got to be taxed first on CO08DEZ before it can be transferred , new owner has to wait for V5 to come back and it has to show up on DVLA as a taxed car . Only then can the process of a plate retention begin . I don't think a V62 would change the plate
  11. In Your name and TAXED too I reckon before they will transfer the car back to its original plate . Not a great plate on a 12 reg though is it . Imagine a punter looking at that on the advert and passing by . Surprised DEZ didn't want it back , been better for you . Cover the plates up on the advert may help .
  12. He just turned up with his bundle , Tried to catch me out I think I'M not going above £55 so the bid might be yours
  13. Just had a guy to see a car yesterday . Do you take choppers he says , Yes What do you have ? MX5 on private though its 2005 125,000 miles , OK I say look it up its 2003 at, he didn't want to know that 178,345 miles didnt want to know that either Then he starts , I want £1,500 for the car . £1,000 for the reg plate , £650 for the hard top , £200 for the tyres I've just fitted I'm selling it all as a bundle for £3,000 " BARGAIN " Your car is rusty though with NO service history , one key , ripped seats , hardly any paint left , and the rag top roof is full of holes . Was most offended when i told him its £50 at most , I don't want the Plate , I don't want the Hard top and if you really want you can have the tyres back cos its going to scrap . Scrap WOW now that did offend him LOL Needless to say we didn't do the deal BUT it was still outside two hours later as it had packed up , wouldn't start , got towed away by his friend BUNDLE PX I've never come across that before . Beware he's still looking out there somewhere Made us laugh when he had gone

  15. Auto trader websites work the other way round don't they ? Did when we had a Razor web site You load onto a dealer portal and then the adds go to your Razor web site . We now have a click dealer web site were i load onto web site first they it feeds onto Autotrader . Maybe you need a website supplier that does that for you

We sold a total of 4 cars from Find & Fund when it first started and there was TV adverts on most nights Now the adverts are no longer its died off to Zero Part of the problem in my view is the Name FIND & FUND Looking at it from a customers point , FIND what? and FUND what ? the very words find and fund could mean anything , Fine for the people who work at Moto Novo as they know what it means , But Joe bloggs the milk man delivery driver , housewife , Nurse , Doctor , Lorry driver , Van mechanic , hasnt a Bl##dy scooby what find and fund means . Nice try though
  17. This happened to a friend of ours .started selling from home , Neighbours got very jealous and reported him . Planning man came round , took reg of cars to check they were reg to him . Result is planning won , he moved to a unit and gone from good to better doing the job so it worked out great for him . At home he bought 4 bangers , and I mean bangers , rusty bangers , MOT and insurance later they were parked out side his house for the neighbours to look at . Didn't like decent clean cars on his drive he says so now his 30k car sits on the drive and the bangers on the road all outside his house , They tried moving them to NO avail, reg to his wife insured on MID and they all have an MOT and tax . Been there two years now . One neighbour complained about the state of them so he painted two of them with house emulsion paint in pink Jealousy !!!!!, route of all evil they say Hope it works out for you Marc
  18. Most customers have lost key insurance and never knew about it . Just tell them to tell insurance its lost and they get another without affecting No Claims . Does depend on the car here though , under four yrs they get two keys , over four it comes as is .
  19. Haha , you scammer Nick , Nice result , well done .
  20. Hard lesson there , Always let customers deal with their own plates , cos when the shite hits the fan its their fault then . I had a billy know it all who tried telling me how to it so he drives away with his plate on the new car . Be my guest mate , here's the screen crack on I said . He lost the plate as the V5 went back to the old owner , oops you did that wrong , Old owner sold the plate back to him for £500 made me laugh .
  21. Oh dear that is school boy stuff Nik Done your self out of 200 smackers , You will get over it by around Christmas I bet lol Now lets all think what Nik could have done with the £200 hes lost forever Sorry Nik . Just made me laugh . Don't worry though we've all done it if were honest
  22. I set out to sell bolt on's not give money off via Promotions Upgrade my own 6 month warranty £199 Best added into finance quotes as you get a commission on the £199 then too Paint sealant £199 Its very shiny now , bet you want to keep it that way don't you Upholstery protection £99 stops the kids devaluing your seats Windscreen Water repellent £79 all plus vat saves lots of money on wipers Screen price and get 6 month warranty engine , gearbox, warranty free but you can upgrade it to £199 to cover these extra parts too . 25 cars a month with average 60% taking £280 of extras = £4200 x 12 =50k 80% mark up a year and that's not counting Finance commissions on top gives us a good profit . Sold a car Sat and he bought paint sealant and warranty upgrade took £398 extra off him added to finance as bolt on's with finance commission at £709 it was £1,107 extra on top of screen price . To the starters in this industry my advice is hold your hand out for bolt on's every time , take a little extra as it adds up over a year to huge money . Do your sums , knock £100 off each car = 30k DOWN based on 300 a year Take extra £200 on half the sold stock is £200 x 150 cars is £37,500 UP , lot of money in a working career over 30 years . Hit them with screen price and you get this warranty BUT for this little money extra you get this which is worth more than 100quid off to you and NO warranty cover as I cant give you both discount and warrant the car can I . Guarantee they will agree with you three rules in business my dad said , Profit , profit , profit
  23. vat number and FCA approved first before finance .
  24. One near charges £25 for test drives , loses him lots of sales and we have picked up a few from him because of it too .
