2 pointsYes, I lose some. But, I gain the confidence of people who wouldn't normally travel so far to purchase, being, open and transparent right from the start gives them the confidence to buy. Since operating this way I have cut out tyre kickers, time wasters, dreamers and the low ballers. Everything I hated about the job I have stopped. I simply don't allow people to waste my time and if people don't like it they can simply jog on. I woke up the this AT review this morning. Great Car Buying Experience By Eddie M 1 Day ago This is a different way to buy a car but it works. Simon's honest video appraisal convinced me to pay my deposit and fly 400 miles to Exeter. The car needed a change of licence plate and Simon's communication was exemplary throughout the process. He then met me at the airport with the car which it must be said easily exceeded his description. The price was very competitive, no haggling required and he helped talk me through the online taxation procedure. All in all it's been a great experience. I'm delighted with the vehicle and price paid and would definitely do it all again the next time we need a new car. Embrace the process and deal with confidence - you may never buy another car the old fashioned way again!

1 pointIn my experience people prefer it when you’re a trader as they think you’re more serious and competent in dealing with it all. Just tell them, you might lose the odd one but so what.
-
1 pointthe answer is to kick them hard dont tell them you are a trader and once paid do the log book formalities online, you will get a new fresh log book in days and then you can tell the next punter you bought it for the wife but she doesnt like the colour engine shape tyres etc etc see simples where theres a dolla theres a way remember though not to tell them you voted brexit

1 pointYou can actually register with them straight away to get some of the admin out of the way and when you get the FRN number you can start proposing deals.
-
1 pointHi Natalie, spoke to Ale, he said he may not be able to help as I am a home trader and they have had issues with them in the past. I have sent him everything he asked for anyway. I have now done the majority of the application. thanks again for your help.

1 pointAnd this is why auction houses are now bending over backwards to encourage both private buyers, and new trade accounts?

1 pointI still can't see myself doing video only but in the last several months I started to offer a personal video that I send to the customer's phone on WhatsApp. It is actually several videos, interior, exterior, boot, history & paperwork and I send them on request when a customer gets in touch and they want to travel from a long way away (most of my customers do). By the time we get to that stage all my prep is complete and the car looks just as good in the video as it would in my first pictures which I do as soon as it comes in before most of the prep.

1 pointI agree, you are right Paddy and I apologise to you and all I have ofended, my comment was too general. I should of had a caveat "Not all" Brexiteers are racist and ignorant.
-
1 pointI'm not ignorant, neither am I racist and I've never been on benefits. I voted Brexit, I find people throwing out remarks like that and generalising to be the ignorant and simple ones.

1 pointHa. No, actually I’ve never sold him a car that’s in stock. Like you say, I’m paranoid about getting them a lemon, plus they never remember to service them without repeated prompting, so I now sort that each time they’re up our way. Ones I can remember (over about 20 years now) for them both are -all petrol): MK2 Golf C, MK3 Golf 1.6 SE, 1.4 Polo CL, Suzuki Baleno Estate, 1.9Tdi Passat, Suzuki Jimny, Suzuki Swift 1.5, Toyota Corolla Estate She had the Polo for about 8 years before the engine expired due to lack of servicing. Ben (still not that one) is now doing about 30k a year with his job, so I’m waiting for that call as the Corolla has done nearly 150k. I’m already trying to figure out what to get him next, and he’s mentioned in passing how much he’s spending in fuel so a diesel might be wise- but what’s reliable enough and will take the punishment? Although he does get a mileage allowance. Needs to be a small to medium estate as he goes out foraging for wood for their wood burner and they have a dog. Ideas appreciated.

1 pointAir bag squib for a Suzuki Alto local scrappy wanted £40 + " take it off yourself mate!" .....Main dealer £36 inc VAT delivered in a nice clean box!
-
1 pointIf it was just the transmission warning light i’d be concerned but the fact it seems to be everything in the car including air con and cruise issues I’m not panicking yet. Gearbox was serviced a year or so ago at 85k, not saying that makes it bombproof obviously...

1 pointIf I was guessing I’d be looking at Alternator, Battery and checking all the Earths.

1 pointI would take it direct to a BMW specialist. It needs proper diagnosis.
-
1 pointI heard a similar thing from a family friend, laughable considering every time I sit in a jag it just screams tarted up Mondeo to me
-
1 pointPolitics shouldn’t be discussed here imo! back on topic, I can’t move for enquiries and test drives and i’ve sold 4 from 10 already this month.

1 point...go away for a couple of days and it's all got a bit political! I had two decent walk ons today and one wa**er whose name was Boris...how very apt. As someone under the age of 35 I can say i'm thoroughly bored of Brexit...it comes to something when our footballers conduct themselves more professionally during a world cup than our elected 'leaders'.

1 pointlatest latest latest over 50 percent of the country is racist ignorant and on benefit
-
1 pointNo, just another one, Once the people know what the final deal is which they had no clue about 2 years ago. Leavers are quick to point out how important the will of the people is and that's fine. Lets see what the will of the people is now. This won't go down too well but I will say it anyway. If you voted leave, you were mugged off by Boris and Nigel etc.You were told a pack of lies and promised things that could never be achieved.
-
1 pointThere has already been a referendum. The winning vote was to leave the EU. Thats it.... simple.
