  1. I can't bare speaking to the DVLA, can just hear that condescending, slooooow, soft Welsh accent now..........
  2. Have you got a moustache? I'm sure I've seen you at BCA Peterborough?!
  3. Absolutely, or they don't like the colour of the leather...
  4. You can usually tell a cock on the phone. Had one this morning, rang yesterday on a 5 series BMW, to book an appointment for this morning. Sounded like a right carrot crunching hill billy, so straight away knew what I was dealing with.... I got here this morning and he's already crawling underneath the car! (He's turned up in a Freelander ) This BMW is perfect, it really is a peach, 1 owner, fbmwsh, perfect mot history, never had a single advisory blah blah blah.... Anyway, he compliments the car, say's it just as described, but it's not the blue they thought it was?! (It's dark blue in the pictures and it's still dark blue on the forecourt. He then say's there's three things he doesn't like, the colour, the run flats and the price. He then does the usual of trying to compare it to a run of the mill example, which I remind him this isn't a run of the mill example! He then bids me £2k under the asking price. I laughed, shook his hand, and walked away. (I felt like punching him.!!) The short arse little cretin really made my blood boil. Anyway, rant over, next.......
  5. I would repair the parking sensors, but then I make sure my cars go out right (unless it’s a cheap part ex banger) Quite often you can diagnose a faulty parking sensor by listening for a ‘clicking’ sound, if it’s not clicking it’s not working. Or by putting your hand near each sensor. Sometimes it’s not that easy to diagnose, but if the car has parking sensors fitted, then IMO they should be working. If you haven’t got the money in the car to rectify it, then you’re not buying right. Just my humble opinion.
  6. You've got to love 'Volvo people'!! Bet it had half a tank of diesel in it as well?!
  7. That’s a good deal, bet their part ex wil fly out!!! Nice.
  8. I reckon it's a Jag, XF Estate of some sort.....? Bugger!!!
  9. I’ve just picked up a 2015 Fiesta ST, in the boot was a genuine Ford boot liner, brand new, still in the Ford plaztic packaging, set of carpet mats, and a set of genuine rubber mats, all looked unused! Think the previous owner had a mat fetish
  10. You must specialise in hen's teeth and rocking horse sh*t then?!
  11. Or drop it a grand and make their's look expensive.....
  12. Thanks. It wasn’t intended to piss on his chips, but he put, “I don’t know about you guys....” so was just giving some feedback. With all his experience, I’m sure he doesn’t need me to teach him to suck eggs! Although he did buy a Freelander, so perhaps he does....
  13. I’m the opposite, on fire at the moment, to the point where I’ve almost run out of stock!! I’m usually closed on Sunday’s, had one appointment this morning, now just waiting for my next appointment.

  15. Out of interest how did you get it resolved? Did the DVLA update HPi once you contacted them?
  16. Hi David, Yes it was previously on a private plate. The first thing I did was as you rightly say, go through the taxing process, and it will allow me to tax the car, so I'm happy it's the latest V5C. Could it just be that HPi hasn't been updated?
  17. I've got a customer who has put a deposit on a car, he's taken the V5 ref number and issue date (he's a very genuine guy so have no concerns on that front), but he's just emailed saying the hpi report states, "The issue date supplied for the V5C (Logbook) does not match the information provided by the DVLA. Obviously the DVLA are closed today so I can't get to the bottom of it today. Before my customer cocks off, anyone had this before? any ideas? The V5 I have was last issued 15/04/18 so can't imagine there's a later one kicking about? Any advice appreciated. Cheers
  18. He’s just busy replying to his google reviews....
  19. I rejected the car and requested a full refund as I was so p*ssed off!! Just spoke to the transport manager at Perry Barr who seemed a lot more switched on than Enfield!!!!
