  1. Better than the old site, nice and modern clean looking, easy to navigate However you don't have any images of your actual cars on the home page which i think is essential, otherwise it just looks like a generic car site, I would personally put a slideshow/carousel of a section of your stock running length ways across the site, in the place of the 'our partners' logos Also at the moment your slogan is 'BASILDON CAR SALES, SPECIALISE IN GERMAN CARS AND HAVE IN HOUSE FINANCE FACILITIES That is not grammatically correct BASILDON CAR SALES, THE SPECIALIST GERMAN CAR DEALERSHIP or BASILDON CAR SALES, SPECIALISING IN GERMAN CARS AND VEHICLE FINANCE I'd personally leave out the finance part and keep it simple, something like: BASILDON CAR SALES, SPECIALISING IN GERMAN CARS
  2. Yes that's what i thought, think its better to keep it safe and avoid a manufacturers name
  3. Hi, I'm thinking of registering and setting up another website and i've got the idea of going for a specific make/model in the name. For example www.FordFocusCarSales.co.uk As i have the Ford name in my domain would that cause any legal issues? If the site and company grew would i have a trademark issue?
  4. Have you tried signing in from different browsers? I use a mix of Google Chrome, Firefox, Opera and IE. I find Firefox works best with the Manheim site.
  5. A bit fiddly but https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ef4gbuvAkzg
  6. 5 this week, had a dreadful August so still trying to make up for that.
  7. If you've got enough cash for stock and enough space why not keep the car in stock and carry on with selling 3 cars in its place, 3 lots of service bookings, 3 chances at finance, etc etc? Why would having that car in stock stop you doing all that with other cars? I've had some cars seem to take forever to sell but they've always shifted in the end, for a profit.
  8. 9 days is insane especially at that price range! So after its prepped and up for sale its around 6-7 days advertised and gone, fantastic!
  9. I'm currently looking to change my site and i'm also considering Click Dealer. But i've also been in contact with cardealer5 and they seem to offer a similar package for a lot less, but i do prefer the quality of site with Click Dealer.
  10. Has anybody used these for their invoicing and spreadsheets? Or know of any decent alternatives?
  11. These posts are not for the benefit of the forum users, they are solely to drop a website link here for SEO purposes. Which in turn google looks favourable on and increases the position of their site. Well that used to be the case a few years back but Google has now wised up to this type of spamming and will penalise most sites that do these one off posts with no engagement on the forum.
  12. The response you get often depends on the account level you have unfortunately.
  13. Very quiet for me also, been so quiet i've even cleaned the office, organised my paperwork and prepared all the cars, suppose that's a positive
  14. As you said each to their own, you will definitely be up financially over me at the end of the year no doubt but i really want as little contact with the customer once the car is sold, i'm a 1 man operation at the moment and i'm already flat out, i couldn't deal with warranties issues as well. But i do plan to employ a helper/mechanic at some point in the near future. At that point i'll self warrant and use the yearly warranty savings towards the employees wage.
  15. 6 month, £1000 claim limit = £99
  16. Its more of a physiological thing, if the customers hears a no from an established corporate warranty company they are more likely to accept it than if the no is coming from you, they think typical dealer trying to worm his way out of a problem and will escalate it. If you're with a decent warranty company and it is a legitimate claim then they will pay up no problem. And if they don't then i will always try to help anyway, but its very rare that it will come to that if you're with a good warranty company.
  17. I don't get many warranty claims but like Rory says i prefer to pay a warranty company as it removes me from the claims procedure and i don't have to go back and forth with customer and mechanics etc, i'm on my own so its one less headache i have to deal with and that's worth the warranty price for me. Same as doing all your tax/vat/accounting, sure i could do it in house myself but i'd prefer to pay an accountant and free up some time. This game can eat up every bit of spare time you have so i will always try and buy back bits of my time by paying others where possible. I used to self warrant until one day i was at the airport ready to board a plane for a long overdue holiday, i was just about to turn my phone off when i got a call from a customer that had bought a car about a month prior and was going ape s**t down the phone about a problem with the car, i ended up spending all of my holiday trying to get the situation resolved. For me its well worth the money to partially remove myself from the warranty procedure.
  18. I'm currently looking to start a bit of off roading myself, currently looking for a Jimny so i'll let you know if i come across anything that may suit you Umesh.
  19. You sell a car and it doesn't come back!
  20. Probably to run his compost down to the allotment
  21. I've got an oil filled heater for the winter, but i'm only in a 16ft office so its not too difficult to heat, all depends on the size of the area you're trying to heat Umesh?
  22. 0.8% for credit cards but I barely do any credit cards, if the customer wants to pay on a credit card then that's my opportunity to discuss finance options.
