  1. Yep! This why i agree to all of these kind of offers just to get rid of them, as soon as you agree you'll never here from them again, happy days!
  2. Just remembered had a funny one a few months back regarding a Mini i sold, developed a minor fault a few weeks later. No problem i said bring it back when you can and i'll get it sorted, the part required had to be ordered in so i called the customer the next afternoon and said apologies but the car will be with us for 1 extra day as we need to order the part in, so a 48hr turnaround from the point of her dropping it off, not bad going i thought. I said because its going to be an extra day i'll drop the car back to your house for you, saves you having to do the journey to us. She says ''no problem, thanks so much for sorting it and dropping the car back'' etc, etc. 5 mins after i get off the phone i get a text message from the same polite lady along the lines of ''For f**ks sake, absolute joke! My car is still not ready, not gonna be ready until tomorrow, piss take!'' and about another 5 paragraphs more of f'ing and blinding. I then get another text from the same lady immediately after saying how that text was meant for her sister and she text me by mistake and that she is soooo sorry, just that she needs her car, sorry, sorry, etc. Safe to say when i personally dropped the car to her the next day it was very awkward
  3. 2 yesterday, picking up a bit but still generally quiet
  4. Not trying to be funny, its a genuine question, but why on earth are you dedicating 2 years or more of your life to research an industry which is probably at its worst state in years for dealers due to the small margins, increased advertising costs, phenomenal lease deals, car supermarkets selling at rock bottom prices and to top it off, the cra2015 ???
  5. Still on the 1! Oh and an engine rebuild needed on a 2012 Astra
  6. I had a friend that had a similar review left about his business, no transaction took place, the customer just didn't like his telephone manner. He ended up tracking him down via facebook, found his address and turned up at his front door! The review was swiftly removed
  7. Finally 1 on the board! Hardly any profit in it as its been in stock for a while but took in a nice px so should make up for it. But its bloody hard work out there at the moment!
  8. Nowt so far for June!

Sub Prime - I gave up on sub prime, got so sick of processing around 100 applications to get 1 to stick, was spending most of my day processing applications, facebook seemed to attract the worst for me, most of the time the customer will tell you that they've had ''a few missed payments 5 years ago'' when in reality they've been repossessed, blacklisted and are wanted by the inland revenue! Then complain that the APR is high I pass on any sub prime inquiries to a broker.
  11. I do because i ask each one of my customers how they found our car
  12. Not sure if it was a wind up but had a call a few days ago for an old Ford Ka we had listed as a non runner, spares or repairs £75. Had a call via gumtree asking if i could arrange a payment plan for the vehicle
  13. I've got 2 business accounts with Barclays, never had any issues in 10 years.
  14. Mk2 Ford Focus will do the trick, you can pick up a decent one for under £1k and not the end of the world if they get pranged.
  15. I made the decision a few weeks ago to end my AT contract, will be handing in my notice on July 1st, the cost is getting out of hand, the £25k a year i'm paying AT will go a long way on other advertising platforms, ebay, cargurus, gumtree, piston heads, google adwords, seo, etc. With a lot left over to reinvest into other areas of my business. I think its almost at breaking point for AT, they've pushed and pushed the limits but the last few months i've noticed nearly every dealer complaining about pricing, contracts, pricing indicators, etc. This could be the straw that broke the camels back (hopefully).
  16. Unfortunately this is why i refund at the first instance, i know it shouldn't be that way and i know i should fight a lot of the cases but the law is simply not on our side since the introduction of the consumer rights act. Good luck with it mate.

13 in 13 days for me, great start to the month, now the problem of restocking!
  18. Refund and move on, not worth the back and forth. By the time you get a resolution you could of resold the vehicle and saved yourself the headache.
  19. Yep as mentioned easiest way is to just get the facia out of a mph set of clocks swap over. £20 quid for this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-1-3-SERIES-E90-E87-DIESEL-SPEEDO-INSTRUMENT-CLUSTER-CLOCKS-IK696147801-/122263736057?hash=item1c777c8ef9:g:H-MAAOSwImRYS-88 Take the facia out, swap it over, job done.
  20. No, its not a plug in job, the vin number and coding is in the original dashboard. You will need to have the new instrument cluster adapted to the vehicle, snap on can't do it.
  21. You can change the digital odometer display to mph using the menu on the radio unit.
  22. Be very aware of Manheim's grading when buying online, i've bought cars online that were graded as a 2 and in when collected they were closer to a grade 4! I've stopped buying online because of the inaccurate grading.
  23. No edit or like options for me, doesn't matter what computer or OS i use.
  24. Yep reviews only apply to us that have an autotrader contract. For the ones just doing individual ads this has no effect on them, no option to add a negative review.
