Has anybody used or know of any software to add a photoshopped background to your vehicle images?

Dead as a door nail here!

40 car would be in the region of £2000 a month depending on what 'special' tier you would like

Dropped off for me this week big time, 1 viewing so far all week, nothing sold since Saturday.

As GG said be very careful with the vehicle you put out on Finance, any issues with the car and the finance company can refund and claim the money back from you

I used to do well out of the Mondeo's but struggle to shift them now, especially if the spec is anything lower than a titanium. Had an edge and zetec that were sitting there since the beginning of the year, both went this month but i won't be stocking another Mondeo unless it is super spec'd

Crazy busy today, 4 sold, my best Saturday in a while

I hate buying off the public! Maybe i'm unlucky but my lot are usually worse than the auctions, lying bar**ards! Had one come in the other day to do a px, ''great car, no issues, no damage'' etc. He arrives and instead of pulling up outside my unit like everybody does he drives past does a u-turn and pulls up on the opposite side of the road with the drivers side wedged against a fence. First thing i do is squeeze into the drivers side and pull the car into a normal position so i can view it properly, what a surprise the side he was trying to hide had been resprayed, door out of alignment, etc. Another one came in the next day, this time with a 4x4 as px, as we're working out a deal all he keeps repeating like a parrot is ''once you take my car no comebacks ok, no comebacks'' I swiftly declined his offer.

Maybe an admin could have a look into making a private section of the forum. I'm sure a lot of us would like to share certain info but at the moment anybody can browse this forum, including our customers. Some of our posts are showing up in the Google results when searching for some or our dealership names.

I usually end up at bca or manheim online buying something i know i shouldn't

My closest tyre shop in National Tyres so chances of building up a friendly relationship are very slim, its like a bloody episode of the Walking dead in there, the staff are like zombies! Puts me half to sleep when i have to wait there and watch them take an eternity to change a tyre.
-
My nearest tyre shop is a 20 mins away and being on my own i simply don't have the time to take the car to a tyre shop, wait there to get booked in and drive back if i can do it myself on site. I usually get them off by hammering a slightly oversized socket over the locking nut but if there is a tool that actually does the job then i'll give it a try.

Can any of you guys paste a google images link as to what the kit looks like. Or can you see them here?
-
Ah fair enough, yep i would of done the exact same thing, just get rid.
-
How do you guys deal with removing locking wheel nuts when the remover is missing? I've bought a locking wheel nut remover tool like this but not had any luck with it. Had a customer shouting down the phone at me today and telling me ''you'll be hearing from my solicitor'' due to a missing locking wheel nut socket

Why don't you want to put them through, you think they'll be a problematic customer later on?

I've taken in px today a 2003 Ford Mondeo with 170k miles, with a full tank of fuel So that's my new ride for the next couple of weeks

A Porsche Cayenne 4.5s currently averaging just over 15mpg!

i've also got a similar setup to MatC and Scooby. Around 25 in stock, 15 advertised at any one time, i'm on my own and do everything from buying to selling, everything in between and after, i've even got a recovery truck to collect the stock. I'm a fairly new start up so i'm keeping costs to a minimum for now but will shortly start outsourcing stuff like the valeting, i'm down to around 1.5 hours for a valet but that's still around 30 hours a month of valeting! The good thing about being solo is that it has made me extra cautious about what i buy because i simply don't have the time to be sorting problem cars, i went through a period early on when i had 5 warranty claims on the go, it seemed like everything i sold came back a few days later, all that whilst still trying to sell and buy stock, that was a fun time!

Currently using the software myself, very good, i can recommend

I'm assuming the accountant would have your stockbook, if there is such an option. I would love to just hand everything to the accountant and be done with it.
-
So you don't have a stock book/spreadsheet, they take care of that as well?
-
Does anybody have a setup where they literally just hand over all sales invoices, receipts and purchase invoices to your accountant and they do everything? So you're not doing anything. I'm just wondering what an accountant would charge for something like that?

For the PX to clear vehicles i always use a trade invoice instead of my standard invoice pad. If a customer has a warranty claim on a £500 vehicle then i'll simply tell them to read the invoice they signed, that usually does the trick. I know if they really want to press the issue then the trade invoice wouldn't help but it does the job for most of the nutters that expect a new car for £500.
