  2. I think lots of advice has been suggested for this businesses website via here and AT Forum but not much has changed. I also think the person who has written it has possibly got a problem with writing maybe dyslexic or something so would not want to be so harsh. If that is not your strong point get someone else to help.
  3. Someone called Nathan phoned yesterday and enquired about a car we had advertised. A nice 1 series good price, good condition. Mentioned he had once been in the trade. Had a px and asked for a ball park figure, I asked how much he was looking for. 100k 07 A3 S Line. N4WMS Booked around 3800 clean. Retail £5395. Chap wanted £5500 and not a penny less. I said I would be unable to offer that kind of money for the car. Chap then said if he was a cash buyer what price would he get the 1 series for because he sure as hell wouldnt be paying the screen price. I politely explained the car was getting a lot of interest and I was unwilling to drop the price. 30 mins later a review pops up on google by author Nathan Sutton stating 'Patronizing sales staff, car not as described and awful after sales service'. I am sat thinking I have no record of any customer called Nathan Sutton so off I search. Still no customer. I have no ongoing complaints or issues with any customers full stop. So because a grown male adult didnt get his own way he left a false poor report on my business and I cant do anything about it. Basically I just wanted to moan because I am still annoyed about it today!
  4. Agree with SC. This guy sure as hell would not be complaining if the car had flown an MOT and it was sat on his driveway with £200 profit in it
  5. Yes just had a very busy period and my webstats were the highest I have ever seen them.
  6. Had the busiest bank holiday weekend I have ever experienced. 14 cars sold Saturday/Sunday/Monday. No idea what kick started things but it just went crazy busy. Love the motor trade when I am selling, its busy and just can't beat the buzz.
  7. The warranty is now done via autoprotect I think isnt it? Clutches despite any checks done on them will now be deemed to be a wear and tear item.

Its possible for us to put a face to a name and I don't think there are any regular contributors on here that I wouldn't be happy to shoot the breeze with over a curry or a pint (even better if both ) . My only concern sometimes here is with my username if I was to vent about a customer situation that it may come back to bite me as its not all behind closed doors so to speak.

  13. Unfortunately I don't think I will be able to find the time to attend CDX16. Things are very busy here at the moment, business partner is away on holiday for a week and I just can't afford to close for the day. Is there another way to enter into the bangers for ben rally as I think it looks great fun and myself and mechanic are pretty up for it just waiting for the right part exchange to come our way.   15. I personally have a hpi subscription and I can use cap or glasses valuations within that. Mainly use it for valuing PX's with the bonus of knowing if they have finance /write off attached. There is a subscription buts its pay as you use mainly and a very useful tool. Have a chat to them.

  19. Totally disgusting behaviour on their part. With you on this one all the way. I made the comment on their own forum that car dealerships that don't take part exchanges are like drug dealers that don't take cash. They just don't exist.
  20. Yes Phillip. April was our best month since starting. Start and end of month both busy a bit quiet at times in the middle. Whether it means anything or not but we also did the most finance business we have done also.
  21. Does the 3 series have no history or no book? They store it on the key don't they so worth a check with BMW.
  22. Most main dealers are part of larger groups. Most groups have a policy where they have to send all part exchanges to auction. Some smaller independent main dealerships may still allow you to go in and buy their vehicles. but probably already have a well established tie in with someone who takes all their px's. I rang around a load of places earlier this year and got no where.
  23. Advertised a very nice £18,500 edition 35 yesterday evening. Deposit over the phone at 8am and driven away by about 3pm today. That does not happen very often.
