  1. How do you change it mate? Could be a good idea. Edit* done.
  2. Its possible for us to put a face to a name and I don't think there are any regular contributors on here that I wouldn't be happy to shoot the breeze with over a curry or a pint (even better if both ) . My only concern sometimes here is with my username if I was to vent about a customer situation that it may come back to bite me as its not all behind closed doors so to speak.
  3. I can sell 207's. I can make profit. I rarely manage to sell a 207 and make profit
  4. Unfortunately I don't think I will be able to find the time to attend CDX16. Things are very busy here at the moment, business partner is away on holiday for a week and I just can't afford to close for the day. Is there another way to enter into the bangers for ben rally as I think it looks great fun and myself and mechanic are pretty up for it just waiting for the right part exchange to come our way. Thanks, Rory
  5. They all know about it. They might pretend they don't but they certainly do.
  6. I personally have a hpi subscription and I can use cap or glasses valuations within that. Mainly use it for valuing PX's with the bonus of knowing if they have finance /write off attached. There is a subscription buts its pay as you use mainly and a very useful tool. Have a chat to them.
  7. Great shout Phil. Nice guy and lives 2 minutes from our site. Very helpful and got us a very fair quote. Thanks for the suggestion.
  8. Flying them out Steve good work and some nice bits of stock. This Month is ticking over steadily but yet to feel busy.
  9. Can anyone suggest some brokers. Renewal has come through at around £5000 for the same cover that was costing just over £3000 by the end of last year. Many Thanks,
  10. Totally disgusting behaviour on their part. With you on this one all the way. I made the comment on their own forum that car dealerships that don't take part exchanges are like drug dealers that don't take cash. They just don't exist.
  11. Yes Phillip. April was our best month since starting. Start and end of month both busy a bit quiet at times in the middle. Whether it means anything or not but we also did the most finance business we have done also.
  12. Does the 3 series have no history or no book? They store it on the key don't they so worth a check with BMW.
  13. Most main dealers are part of larger groups. Most groups have a policy where they have to send all part exchanges to auction. Some smaller independent main dealerships may still allow you to go in and buy their vehicles. but probably already have a well established tie in with someone who takes all their px's. I rang around a load of places earlier this year and got no where.
  14. Advertised a very nice £18,500 edition 35 yesterday evening. Deposit over the phone at 8am and driven away by about 3pm today. That does not happen very often.
  15. You can never win. I don't so much mind spending the time with timewaster types when its quiet its just frustrating when you are trying to juggle 2 or 3 customers around as best as you can at the same time and they are clearly not in a position to buy or commit but play the charade anyway.
  16. Must have had a hard life - whats wrong with it?
  17. We were dead yesterday aswell. Only one nutter out asking what our best price was so he could go away and think about it. Also had a request for full refund following a car purchased 2 weeks ago because the parking sensors have stopped working (not didnt work at time of sale) and the air con is not very cold so it therefore of unsatisfactory quality. I did not expect much from a letter that started 'I am writing to....' but I thought to reject a car you could have at least called us and asked us to fix the minor issue on the 2007 Galaxy with 96k miles. Currently have a 1.8 TDCI Focus that won't start with air in fuel system following fuel filter change and a customer that has travelled from London to view the car.....
  18. How many cars do you have on AT Craig? I would not have balls to drop them. They bring in our leads as much as it pains me to say it and I certainly don't like the bill.
  19. How many miles has he done ? If the customer has done huge mileage then I wouldn't not necessarily cover it. Is it 3 months, is it less, is it more ? Do you offer aftermarket warranty or just your own in house ? We do have legal obligations and we should look after customers completely agree but there is also some fairness required for the dealer and if this chap has done 10k in it I don't see why the supplying dealer should necessarily pay.
  20. What warranty did you offer on the car ? how many miles has he done since purchase? Its always the ones that don't extend the warranty that make thebiggest song and dance about it when something goes wrong.
  21. Close brothers are nice and straight forward to deal with. A lot of time for them. Evolution Funding are good broker with a cracking online prop system. Really good set up for sub prime and negative equity deals. Some of the PCP rates they can do are superb also. Recently set up with and have used Santander - good for the top notch credit rating customers who are rate savvy. Nice opportunity for commission with Santander I would say also. Well known brand to so good to have on the website or advertising aswell I think, not that I have done this yet.
  22. Every time I sell a car the next customer on the pitch or on the phone is interested in that model unless we we have an identical car in stock then they are just not interested usually haha.
