  17. I think the absolute worst thing you can do is trawl past customers and ask for positive feedback, they nearly always say whilst your on i have a small problem my customers are told repeatedly before we make a sale that im here if they need me as first port of call i self warrant and self repair the only jobs ive farmed out are clutches saved pots of money over the years and i learnt it from an auction house that put all the indemnities in a very big safe and usually paid out straight away if any problems, what was left bought the owner a very nice hacienda i meant to add use a third party if touting for feedback just like all the big boys do including banks
  18. not a good idea if you had need to make or have a claim, ifeel your loss but at least you now are fully compliant

  20. yes blanket marketing internet modern phones most people now know within reason what their cars worth even if its a scrapper i used to blitz the local rags with i buy any car/van them days have long gone i often get wannabe traders in trying to ofload their lemons to me though their shorts and dealer boots give them away though plus they always need a fag before they come in or a spit on my floor, cctv dont you just love it
  21. If they are decent people then its quite often easy to upsell them if they come in for a £1000 small car because they usually have the money but like the rest of prefer to keep it if we can but they realise it has plenty of warts and is not really what they want after looking at loads of scrap that hobos have been living in (i kid you not thats what a customer told me not so long ago) ive often taken them up to 2g by showing them what a better car they can get and also we are willing to see them at mot time next year so we offer service as well as the initial sale just saying
