  1. Damm wanted a discussion on the non moon landing too With relation to you friends I prefer the sites you mentioned before that discuss how we can keep on making a living without needing dealer access of course the dealer's hide behind things like corporate culpability couldn't possibly give you the pin code to the c3
  2. Was it a vw stable car by any chance? There's one at brighouse tomorrow get it bought and ring him up Don't hold your breath that he will want it mind and the negotiations haven't begun on what he actually wants to pay Just saying........
  3. To add you get their address too and see if they live in bandit alley and then go on zoopla to see if its rented accomodation if still happy a deposit might be a winner but for me I would rather turn up because its as much about the person as the car with me i.e. why selling etc
  4. Would you not prefer them to turn up in front of your customers and say I'm exceedingly sorry but the car sold just 5minutes ago you must have passed it as you came into the lot This way you really get the feeling of one up to me like basil fawlty owning the old duffers winnings
  5. So you would appease them even though they have categorically stated they were going to come back a 3rd time and start bidding him Not for me let them leave bad feedback and I would match it with a statement drawn from my preferred buyer
  6. Why would you? What would you gain? I stopped ringing non customers a long time ago its a business not a kindergarten Please don't say they might be a customer tomorrow because they never are
  7. Looks high maintenance ...... I'm out
  8. And fortunes to buy if you live there. Why don't you do your own pin reading from eproms if you like a challenge?
  9. So he had from Tuesday to Saturday with your car off sale due to deposit taken. I'm afraid I would have made a reduction on his deposit
  10. Hi thanks for ringing me yes I have 4for sale.would I take a deposit ?mmmmmmmm. Let me think about that one. Get down shep
  11. i hope you threw your head back as you wrote that bit
  12. We have agreed to carry on with all eu law until it might be deemed fit to change it ie i would like to see hanging returned assuming we get a deal otherwise we might be at the mercy of the manufacturers remember many cars like merc already talk directly to the manufacturer sending data and in return they are advised when a service is due even the purrgoet108 has a direct link to francais
  13. me neither they took over the sale and spanked him then threw salt in the open wound days later nasty people but thanks for sharing it DB
  14. men in shorts even my postman has covered up this week
  15. the customers you give your time to but ultimately return are giving thanks by returning and spending with you i have had lots of these customers over the years so the bottle of malt at xmas isnt always that important in the bigger picture its also nice to think that you hadn't done anything wrong when they initially had taken your time but purchased elsewhere because its always annoying at the time unless you think back and they were an arse anyway so glad they went and now they return you realise their expectations were too large all along
  16. we didnt have the nanny internet to fall back on we had to learn in the field so use the internet wisely and dont overuse it or i will turn the internet switch off
  17. if it is something you can have made out of some mdf then painted matt black depending on the car/price this can be better than a large void
  18. most customers dont have cash for a double latte with a dead frog on top so a card depo is better than they go off to the cash machine never to be seen again
  19. see what is selling locally ie little cofin dodger cars or prestige or suv etc buy the best but dont overpay ie dont get auction fever
  20. no the pdi if used as a sales tool instils customers into the fact you have done everything in your power to stop them even needing an aftermarket warranty they have confidence that the product will fulfil its duty an aftermarket warranty is just a get out that if it goes faulty someone will repair it at possibly no cost to yourself if you do an mot and a proper full pdi including engine service and full brake inspetion then there is no reason in the short term unless abused that the vehicle should failand the mot will show no advisories however if it does fail in the service of the new owner and remember cars are washing machines with wheels then get back to me to see if we can be of help this is what i say and what i do,it might even mean fitting part at cost and no labour but i get repeat custom and recommendations
  21. see who the local trade use and get a quote if he comes recommended a look at his wagon will tell you if you can trust him
  22. you forgot to ask why owen left too i knew i could depend on you to ask the relevant questions
