  1. well its thursday again and look what a customer brought in today ,even a knife to cut it with
  2. im am only going to say this once so listen carefully if you do or have done a proper inspection of the car prior to offering it for sale then bodged crash damage repairs will be easily seen (obviously a kick of the tyres and a tick box episode is not good enough it needs to be on a ramp) the solution is then to make it safe and look presentable scrap it or trade it on as spares repairs i once bought a cat c xr3i declared at an auction the most minted car you would ever find,it was 2 halves welded behind the seats i reblocked it because if it came apart in an accident then the paper trail would have gone to my door just like this one so a pdi thats had a proper inspection and a proper test drive would have found this crash repair damage and a fresh mot would have brought up high hydrocarbons on the 4 gas tester because its missing at certain revs just sayin..................

  15. I had it years ago it was a honda precinct or something anyway lovely african bought it drove it away auto too anyway he rang up next day saying am avin problems man we laughed about it for years if someone ever mentioned it
  16. last time i had an auction in my favour like the OP the auction rang me up asking for their car back or for me to pay the reserve of the vendor i refused but obviously never went back because i knew they would have taken my money next time in the office and told me to do one it was a long time ago though
  17. to add to this for anyone interested i have a customer a good customer who is having a disagreement with a garage regarding a classic car and the repairs not being up to standard they have paid so far £40,000 in repairs this vehicle although they haver been told is, is not even fit for the road my customer has got a solicitor at £100 a letter involved and i was assured this trader wasnt limited i checked online did some delving and find he is ltd and his accounts are overdue ive played hell with my customer and told her to do the same with this solicitor frankly im fuming they have been led up a path that empties bank accounts so there you are all the money in the world and you can still get bad advice this is why i use the school of age knowledge and been there, it might be old school but it still works
  18. it most likely came from ireland but also possibly jersey or isle of man it causes a problem because it wasnt first registered in the uk for the dvla database which insurers depend on it might cause problems for some insurers but not for an independent broker if car good price and sellable it wouldnt totally put me off
