  1. Took one of them in pex once 4x4 version - phone went off the hook. I used to sell them consistently but they slowed down for me so haven't bothered for a year or so. Same with quite a few smaller cars that used to be 'popular'.
  2. I think it depends on the customer sometimes too. We all know generally who will play ball in a reasonable matter and who will moan/kick off etc. I had a customer last week have an exhaust issue, flexi pipe gone I think, quoted £80 all in, we have put £50 she made up the rest and got it done locally. Absolutely delighted she was, but the next customer mind find it disgraceful they have to dip into their own pockets at all? I don't think its black & white. Plus theres also the people that you give an inch to and they will take a mile... manner*. Where has edit post gone
  3. Even morally and legally sometimes you are somewhere in the middle. In this instance I would have it back and if a part had failed after this limited timescale then I'd replace, maybe asking customer for a contribution if fitting a new part - usually then everyones happy and you are not massive out of pocket. If they really felt this was unfair we'd probably replace at our cost and draw a line under it. But I sort of disagree with the same service for every car, whether new, £150k, £15k, £1,500 or even £250? I just don't think thats fully feasible and obviously you have to expect a much more 'used' product subject a lot more wear and tear towards the bottom end of the market (imo).
  4. Could you have gone £2390, looks a bit cheap to me!?
  5. We had 4 customers yesterday and managed to convert 3 so a good days business for us. Avensis diesel fiesta Mazda 3 so standard stuff
  6. £40. Was quite a while ago though.
  7. Worked late last night and did two deals between 6.30 and 8pm.
  8. What's the age, mileage and price of the car? They (the seller) cannot deny you your statutory rights as a consumer so you should have a case.
  9. We've really picked up since middle of last week, rescuing what was looking a flat month.
  10. I've always done well with petrol Saabs, the bigger engine 2.8 thing is very desirable, sell within a day type car.
  11. Anyone having problems again? I can't get in.
  12. it's okay guessing the prices but what if they come up as CAT D or having finance, be careful.
  13. Yes mate, nightmare atm.
  14. Yeah that makes sense. I have also done a few deals like this but has been on sub £15k cars and always worked out okay so far. At least you can give them a good going over/drive before you advertise them!
  15. The only issue with that is if you ever have a rejection under CRA - would you then have to stump up £40-£120k to buy the car back?
  16. How much funding are you looking for?
  17. Couple more this afternoon.
  18. Two more in the bag today.
  19. possibly but could help your case if excessive? Can you prove its being used for business?
  20. How many miles have they done in it so far?
  21. We've been ticking over really nicely, still on course for 1 sale a day which hasn't happened for a good few months. My most pleasing was a FB sale, £25 sponsored post for 2 Zafiras I took in stock last week, I included the finance repayments in the ad and dealt one of them on finance yesterday from a FB direct message. Really made me happy that did.
  22. That's disgusting, hope it doesn't knock you out of your stride too much mate.
