  1. Bearing in mind, like all auctions, it’s run for the benefit of the vendors, I’d be surprised if they’d even let themselves be rated? Who would have the muscle to make that happen, certainly not buyers, they’re ten a penny?
  2. Surely billy will see that as an indication of your culpability?
  3. It would be interesting to hear mr cap and mr glasses opinion of how realistic their prices are? Perhaps a CDM exclusive?
  4. I think you’ll find most of the environmentally friendly vegan weirdos don’t actually live in London? They just like to come and demonstrate then fuck off back to Brighton!
  5. Might be a good point to make here that unsurprisingly many London based dealers advertise their cars showing ULEZ compliance. It's a big deal round these parts?
  6. Auctions are there for vendors. Buyers are two a penny now. They give out gold cards like confetti? They don’t care who buys as long as there are lots of smiling faces waving their hands in the air with money in the bank. Auctions are not moral arbiters.
  7. Back in the day you used to see a few BCA Enfield cars at Manheim Colchester on a Thursday evening. It makes you wonder how contractually obligated these larger vendors are to stick with one auction house? If they are able to ‘pull a few selected items’ from manheim and stick them in bca or vice versa?
  8. I’m based in London and I never see fiat pandas? I’m guessing that buyers looking for small, easy parking, cheap tax don’t buy fiats? Go figure?
  9. It’s interesting when you watch tv programmes about Chinese markets and even those vendors can get irritated by this? It’s a wonder they sell anything when they have to spend 30mins haggling over a £10 t-shirt?
  10. Things like adding keys, installing new batteries, diagnosing TPMS, etc. Stuff you can really just do yourself and not bother a mechanic.
  11. Makes you wonder how they’ll function in what is soon becoming a cashless society?
  12. Have any of you guys had to deal with 'travellers?'
  13. HIgh buying volumes choking the system?
  14. You say, “when you are here, and you’ve seen the car, and I am happy to sell you the car, we can discuss the price”
  15. Personally, I think that you need a decent scanner to do this job nowadays. They are way too useful to ignore. But leave spending big bucks to your mechanic. Remember it’s just a tool, having a scalpel doesn’t make you a surgeon!
  16. It's a lot easier stopping vehicles with illegal tints than chasing armed bank robbers? Will your wife be on the next series of Police Interceptors?
  17. I seem to remember a similar problem with the old Mitsubishi pajero’s. You could buy replacement rubbers from off-road specialists. Might be worth a try for you? And also, try the Aussie off-road websites. Those guys are streets ahead of our lot. Especially where newer Japanese/Asian stuff is concerned. If it’s possible to replace the bushes on Hyundai Santa Fe rear shocks, they’ll have done it.
  18. When the last ‘mrs met’ moved off my insurance to her own, they just asked for a letter showing NCD? I don’t remember her having any issues. Although it was about 10yrs ago so maybe things have changed?
  19. I genuinely don't think Autotrader gives a rats ass? After all we are all free to advertise where we like?
  20. You don't say? General ageing to all suspension components/bushes
  21. But they must be feeling there stock would make more money, quicker and with less ‘hassles’ at BCA/Manheim? Maybe back in the halcyon days it’s was all gentleman shaking hands on honest descriptions but that clearly is no longer the case. Vendors want every last £1 out of their stock and making friends is no longer a priority?
  22. Hopefully when he's not still on your property?
  23. It’s a wonder she bothered calling the police at all. Must be an everyday occurrence in the garden of england?
