  1. Thats always the same we had it with £800 1 owner oldie Astra thing Is it was actually a decent old car I used it myself to smoke about in to auctions etc was a good old thing for leaving at the auctions when picking up better stock etc
  2. I agree no point doing the job if not doing it right customer satisfaction is the key a lot of the time I'm a great believer in if I wouldn't be happy to drive or let a family member thens it not going to be sold by me . I'm very picky when it comes to cars probably overly so but you do the odd customer moaning about a touched in stone chip on a 6 year old car thanks for your help and advice it's much appreciated Rory as you say internet is the future ..
  3. There is deffo one there we got stuff for a mito pity I've no kept his number the guy traded the car in so didn't think I would need anything for it again
  4. Have a look on ebay there's a few ones a specialist Alfa breaker I got stuff from him before but never kept his details sorry I cant be off any more help ..
  5. How do you find it in general are most customer happy or do you get the odd one picking non existant things up to try get money off etc .
  6. Carwow sent me an email last week there still privately owned for now . But soon will be offering shares to people think they were £10 each from memory who had used them in the past I've never actually used them but have run a few prices through with them ..
  7. Im unsure i f would like to do it though companies I've known have in the past sold cars online and delivered funny you should mention car wow i noticed there selling shares now for £10 each so must be trying to get some of that 16 mil back
  8. I seen an ad for macklin motors earlier who if i got it right are saying you can buy a car pay for it online and have it delivered to your door
  9. I meant any the dvla workers on the phone they cant answer simply questions it takes all day to get through and then then put you on hold and its eh ah ill speak to my manager
  10. They always speak so slowly .. as well must be a dvla thing
  11. i guess that's how they do it with lease vehicles on a personal or business lease etc with 2 years leases etc
  12. Either way I hope you get it sorted
  13. Thanks Grant very interesting info . Every day is a school day you learn something new every day as my old boy says Ive also know cars/ vans being bought in bulk though remember a previous employer buying a number of transits and Astra vans and got them below retail price though with various new car buying sites this is probably more achievable nowadays anyway ive a neighbour bought a new Mercedes and was saying he saved a lot through a company called drive the deal .. and yes anything decent makes silly money .
  14. It actually wouldn't surprise me . Get the felt tips out
  15. I agree bhm as you say about diesel and dpf I've mostly found it cars on short journeys I sooner have a diesel at 3 years old that's run up and down the motorway with 120k than one Mildred has been taking to her local Asda with 20k the old mileage myth when customers think everything self distructs at 100k I assumed he would be using the car on longer journeys giving the car time to get up to temperature etc and be able to do the regeneration cycle a neighbour had a little diesel clio and only does about 4 k a year miles and asked me the same question when he was replacing it a 4 years I advised him to buy.a small petrol model . Which I noticed he has done with a corsa .. unrelated but an another neighbour asked me to find them a small diesel They said they didn't want it coming from auction and as everything in the auction is rubbish so I polity declined they ended up buying from a pretend dealer advertising as private on gumtree car hadn't been taxed for 3 months etc I'll never get some people
  16. No problem .. your welcome happy to assist hope it helps
  17. Diesel cheaper to run and good for long journeys
  18. I do get what you say it's the first I've heard of it though but I don't doubt you at all under certain circumstances like say maybe the car has never been used but registered etc but surely these cars would be registered taxed v5 in someone's name and done an average of 300 -500 miles in a week in some cases In saying that buying in bulk say maybe 25 ford focus will get the list price down a good bit I know it works with lease company's I remember speaking to the previous owner of an ex.lease car we bought and what he paid over the time he had it and the purchase price was over 5k short of dealer list price and 3k short of car wows price I thought to me self maybe up in price but the previous owner said he had looked at buying and they were much the same at Time of registration
  19. 21. That's it There good and cheap a lot of people recommend them here you get the bigger ones too but at £35 it's pretty much disposable after 6 months though I've honestly never heard of any one having problems ..
