It always pay to shop around but cheapest isn't always best remember that many garages will offer good discount if you offer them plenty work also many do a cheap trade mot also sometimes if you speak to the garage owner with your price concerns they will work with you it happened to me with a parts suppliers who was supplying a local garage and myself it so happens the garage was doing the work for me and getting the parts cheaper than I could and I was buying more volume from the company I mentioned it to the manager of the parts supplier who said it couldn't be the case as I was on the highest discount possible but suddenly the same parts starts coming in much cheaper

Its the same round our parts they see what they want to see . Ive had a couple of pulls to be fair to our boys in blue i was let of with a warning and a talking to both times but as you say they were far worst traffic offences in plain sight both times

Some dealers use them only to cover up cars with previous private plates ive seen arnold clark etc has started doing that well i assume so as it is always range rovers etc that i would guess had previous private plates not saying run of the mill stuff wouldn't have but maybe the prestige customer is a bit more arsy about there private plate being shown I've never used them with my own cars but have used them with a couple of the guys ive down work for previously .

Find a reliable bmw specialist in your area with good reviews or better still someone on here may be able to recommend one nice to see a polite member of the public on here thats appreciates advise ..

The funny thing is everyone is closed christmas day to spend with family's etc supermarkets and the like and they expect to be offered viewings and test drives id always return the call but off limits to test pilots christmas day as thats my family time i don't really bother much with new year or other holidays .

In all honesty trade vet i do actually use vanish stain remover and sprat airfreshner febreeze and the air freshners from home bargains at 0.35p a pop but as i said im always open to suggestions all the best

Agree the 60k was never mentioned in the original post so that's does change things I would go back to my orginal post and say the auction should have sold it mileage incorrect as this can Be proved not mileage not warranted although if the mot history etc ties up it could still be that some on from Volkswagen wrote the wrong mileage on a job card but if I read correctly I can't see that happening twice ..

Seems fairly reasonable from memory my first renewal way back for similar cover at the time back then was about £1800 its a broker called think insurance i used
