Agree with you there 100 percent was ok up to lock down up to about 3k so were friends but as you say no one has the confidence to spend 15 k my friends who sell more expensive stuff said they wish the could find 20 cheap cars which as met says are difficult to find well good ones are may you and your family stay safe and take care during these tough times Agree with you there .

  5. Yeah its a good show been a couple of series of them think its the second one there on now seem like a good family wouldn't mind attending one of the auctions at some point Thursday at 8pm is next new one

Talking off ex police I had mate bought a pile of astra ex police too he still does mechanic jobs for me for time to time but has been ill didn't like to ask with what but been in and out of hospital seen a 309 in an old Taggart Mark McManus the other week brought back memories actually got me thinking i wish i did more training 20 years back its not the same know the police stuff the mod corsa and astra range were good too And the heritage ones only ever bought one wrong in a 1.7 dti estate blood transfusion stuff was good too .
  7. they were diesels just remembered we broke a petrol one to keep my dads diesel on the road. he ran it 13 years or something was actual quite an unusual car came with part of a gti kit on since he bought at at a year old front bumper with the spots etc . before that he had a 205 diesel for a couple year had a couple of 306s as well my mum had one and I had d turbo one with a twin light conversion can remember a lot ex police 309s and 306 s being sold off there was a dealer near here sold loads had 4 and 5 in stock at a time same place my dad got his from

I agree there is a lot of decent people here although I've been involved in the motor trade for many years in different roles and situations I'm fairly new to the forum you can never really learn or know everything every day is school day and I've learned a lot here and got advice etc from many always try my best to help do my bit also when i can all the best to everyone here during these sad difficult times may everyone and there family's stay safe and take care .
  10. My first car was a cavalier but had a maestro and then a Peugeot 309 before that that never seen the road we scrapped the 309 to keep my auld mans one on the road . I do remember the mk2 Granadas and that friend of my dads had a gold one then a couple of newer ones the same family had an xr4x4 was actually talking about that to tradevet the other day .

  12. Its crazy isn't it i remember my dad having them and passing them on the road all the time out on family trips scary thing is it does not seem that long ago professionals is another classic and bread and of course you cant beat a bit of bully

  14. We all start with positives don't we every time i buy a new car for myself i promise myself ill wash polish it and hoover it weekly then it goes to fortnightly then it goes to the local £10 mini valet place

  19. Surely though the money could be used for better reasons like nhs supplies etc as you wife says a lot of these letters will go in the bin . Some people still wouldn't listen if boris was outside there house with a megaphone its a good idea for maybe say the over 70s but most others will use internet etc as you say most decent people have listened to the advice myself included

No most definitely not another one my dad says is self praise is no honour so thought i give you some always good to listen to the older generation stories about years back Especially in these times when climbing the walls. It also good to gain knowledge from people who have been on the scene for years in saying that i just realised I've always been connected to the motor trade one way or other for 21 years or more if you count the teenager years when i was still at school when familu took me round auctions garages and doing recovery work for a local garage
