  1. It's good to see there still some decent people still out there like your landlord it's very worrying as you say what's it going to be like in 3 months when people are struggling to pay in the first month sad really it will cripple a lot of business Don't get me wrong of course health and stopping the virus is more important and happy to sit in the house if that's going to happen and I should be ok mainly due do downsizing last year to care for my elderly dad but hope and pray others come back too .
  2. Really good to see and decent of your landlord nice to see there still some decent people out there during these tough times ,
  3. It's a good show lot of nice cars and memorabilia my old man likes to watch it he has dementia now and it reminds him of his past cars he was saying he nearly bought a red e type but the price of petrol almost doubled that week so settled for a white mark 2 jag
  4. It certainly is mate . Just think there a lot of good people on here No can't be going out to see boris today he's isolating .. now where did you put they beers ?
  5. Take care mate and stay safe . I know I keep saying it but it's bloody worrying

  7. True I was just thinking if she's sees a low value you would be bad car dealer that was all .amd never hear again Wants £3500 that did cheer me up Im the same been parked up since the Friday before lockdown.
  8. Your right but she sounds like one of those customers who thinks there px is worth telephone number if it comes to just be polite and say something along the lines of we are closed due to covid 19 however I'n normal business operating times your part exchange has a value to the company of around £500
  9. Tell her it worth £500 pound if she emails back bet you don't hear from her again .
  10. Stay safe mate .take care worrying times for sure .
  11. Im sitting in the house as the auctions are all closed my friends/ business associates at the garages/ dealers i buy for closed and not been doing anything with my own stuff since the Friday before lockdown. a bit worried cause they say I'm in the higher risk group . Due to medical conditions
  12. Cant do cash sorry Safer with contactless during these times
  13. Four they will bring back hanging ..
  14. Agree with you there even before all this come out with the virus they were loads-of mot centres for sale and closing in this area so it only going to get worst
  15. Thanks Mark just wondered how that would work in the situations i mentioned . Stay safe mate and take care
  16. Thank you for the clarification on this . Was told by a worker of a local garage just before lock down that dvsa has called stopped them testing after 30th Mar which i found odd for the above reasons he's maybe just telling people this instead of saying hes not want to do them due to the virus guess it looks better to his customers . Another garage is stopping tests next weeks but guess it downs to there own discretion friends of mine own a couple of sales places and a workshop as well as an mot station as well as other non motor trade business and have closed them all due to the virus for public and staff safety .even the ones that could have remained open outwith the sales

No sure..think they will be eventually forced to closed there branches
  18. Thought you told me it was Mickey mouse that told you lol .
  19. Lol Yeah a get that and totally agree . Especially about the failed mot thing and no mot not getting the extension but wasn't sure if they would allow testers to log on for testing for vehicles that had expired mots . its like some garages are open for essentials repairs can they still test if required at there discretion so if a car failed its mot on friday would that mean they couldnt retest it today if all test are suspended and if your mot expired Friday could you not take it today for an mot Today ? If thats the case it would mean cars being off the road 6 months and not able to be driven legal . Not sure though i did notice the extensions are been added on now . Checked a car that was due April and it now states mot expiry is October
  20. What if a car doesn't have a current mot which expired before Mar 30th doesn't effect me but was talking to a mechanic friend of mine on the telephone the other day he's currently repairing a car for himself which when ready would need an mot or is it parked up for 6 months ? Though we might all be .

They are still open for the time being as far as I'm aware . Why they need to be i don't know heard stories of drivers and transporter companies being stop on the way in by police and told to go home as it not essential travel also heard there allowing you to buy online but not collect until lockdown ends so effectively cars sitting about 6 months seems no point whether or not its just hear say i don't know
