On older Vaux / Opels some of the 1.7's were Isuzu and some were Vauxhalls own, horrible version of their OHC Petrols Isuzu was bomb proof. Talking of everyone slagging Vauxhalls, had a few MOT jobs on a mates Combi Van today, 1.3CDTI, 2008, 178k miles, sweet as a nut .................. Why ? Like everything, it had been maintained properly from day 1, ex postman pat van from Portree !! On all Cars / Vans etc these days even Service History means fuck all, it is actually a case of who serviced and repaired it and what quality of Fluids and Parts were used Like everything we all have our favourites, and then slag off what others sell / buy, but at the end of the day there is a helluva lot of vehicles that are perfectly fine at high mileages, but only if they have been looked after right !! I have an 04 E46 Touring Diesel on my books with 250k miles, drives regular Skye to Bristol, drives like new, same guy has 2011 E Class Wagon with 180k and a Sprinter with 340k all of which I look after and all regularly do the same journey. This guy has had both Cars from 1 year old, and the Sprinter for a long time, and he doesn't mind spending the correct money on them for a good job !!

1) Not worrying about what everyone else is doing. 2) Finding ones niche and earning good money out of it 3) Being adaptive to change. And them 3 are coming from me, who is an old dinosaur who can always see a problem with everything, and doesn't like change

The E46 Turing BMW will be going home too after I've had my lunch Clutch and DMF plus Steering Angle Sensor fault due to Wanker Garage setting Tracking with Steering Wheel pissed, plus 2 new Bonnet Catches that arrived today, and a minor repair from a bump, (number plate and 2 kidney grilles) with a few paint touch ins, but the same wanker Garage absolutely destroyed the bonnet Catches with a crowbar / chisel because the Cable had become dislodged !!

Hi, Left front Wheel Bearing, 4very deep salty corrosion pits on outer race and 1 on inner race, balls colouring up straw colour I was surprised absolutely horrendous noise and harmonic at 30 mph, worse with speed but Driveshafts / CV's all perfect, it has had ABS Sensor and New Bearing, drives as lovely as they ever do now Customer on way to collect it

Card Cancelled on the spot, Refunded £10.75 in full and a £100.00 goodwill payment to my A/c because the girl on the phone accidentally cancelled both my Credit Card and also my Bank Card in error It was 4 days until I received 2 new cards, and I was not inconvenienced in the slightest, although I never actually said that to them
