Dealer working from home vs Neighbour (problem)
Dave2302 replied to premi-motor's topic in General Dealer Chat
Not on you, but I hacked your skype so the Camera is on the MILF's 'bits' Now, seriously, it's not about being soft, friends and family will tell you I'm light years away from being soft To all the guys who are saying "sort the bastard" one way or another .................... I used to do exactly that when someone pissed me off, and believe me I was a nasty bastard in my 20's, all sorts ranging from legally getting at them, (which usually cost me a packet and had mixed results) to downright illegal, (which got me nicked often and actually in court on the odd occasion), but by the time I got to my early 30's I realised my time was better spent just moving on, working and earning and spending my time out with the boats teaching my kids to water ski, playing with the Cars, going away for weekends etc etc. Yeah keep any evidence in case you need it in the future, but in my experience he will now move on to some other poor bugger, and sooner or later he will pick on a guy who will give him a free pass to A&E and a bit of traction / dinner through a tube for a while Or ............... You must have a mate who is out of work, pay him beer money to follow the twat around for a month, and dig up all the dirt, photo's the lot, and then post the evidence to his wife, employers, tax man, police (delete as appropriate) Whatever OP decides, I wish him all the best, but FFS don't let it consume you, Take that from an almost 57 year old git who wasted most of his teens / early 20's "sorting out some Twunt or other" -

Hi, Welcome Just my 2p worth, if I were you especially considering the volume you intend to do I would avoid Auctions like the plague. From what I read on here there is little NET profit to be had from purchasing what usually turns out to be a low spec overpriced car with problems, otherwise it would be retailed in the first instance !! Better to find honest privates selling something they have been quoted dealer telephone numbers to fix, and then using a good honest garage or DIY to fix them to a high standard and make a killing ............. In a nutshell, buy for peanuts, be shrewd as to repair and prep costs & sell for big ££££££££££££££ If you want to see how not to do it read the "Mates" threads Oh and yeah love the Ex / "I got no income" bit, I did that for a year before it was all finalised

pissing contest ...................... Here's a good bit of advice, write to the ticket office and ask for a copy of the Scamera Photo, a lot of the newer Scameras will show clear as clear is clear who was driving the Car, and you are entitled to ask for that before pleading !! If it shows the nasty "Hairy Monster Thuggy Man", and obviously not you, then it's case dismissed BTW my significant other milf bit o' fanny doesn't usually wear knickers so I'm cool -
LOL agreed ................. BUT .............. Don't let him near one of your personal cars with Chinese Polish, I once had a Van that had that shit put on it, looked lovely for a couple of months, but once it faded away and all the road dirt etc had stuck to it the resultant mess took 2 to 3 days to correct and properly get it back to a decent shine

Hit the Nail square on the head there, pay peanuts get moneys lol !! Some of these new Citroens and Volvos, they have all the bells and whistles, but they plain don't work properly due to the inept twat that programmed all the associated modules I'm no programmer, but I could do a better job, but the simple fact is they wouldn't pay me enough, or if the bottom line ££££££'s was right they'd want far too many working hours for it
-
Yeah, that makes sense to me lol

I'm the same with Farecla products

/\ /\ /\ Yeah, but surely you agree with me that you gotta try a Cam Sensor first before you either bite the bullet and do a chain job, or sell it cheapo SOR ..................... One could always borrow a Cam Sensor off another Yaris from a friendly Trader / Mechanic workshop if you don't want to buy a £96 Sensor

Yeah, but VAG were stupid / lazy enough to use that code in a Bosch ECU, which all use the same parameter locations, so even a spotty 12 year old can see what's going on inside a Bosch ECU .......................... Ford on the other hand, on EEC IV onwards would change their PID location addresses every few months, making it a lot harder to spot a bit of code like that As do a lot of other Mfrs .................... VAG was just the tip of the iceberg Plenty others using the same type of code to reduce emissions, they all never got done because it couldn't be proven from their s/w

Thank You, I might take you up on that, I have Elsawin on my VAG Com ....................... I'm a lazy old fucker especially if it's a "favour" job like this, and last time I had a VAG wiring problem on a V10 Touareg I got the VAG com out, booted it up, searched the diagram, then found it was all in German Kinda lost faith in the Elsawin after that Cheers -

Hi, I didn't say it had a lift pump, I said it had a blockage in the small hole that feeds the Swirl Pot, from which the Fuel Pump, (wherever the fuck that actually is), draws fuel. It's the fact that it's fine when 1/4 + tank full that gives it away, I've had it on several Vehicles now, some with In Tank Lift Pumps and some without, the first one was a 300TDI Disco I had years ago, and took me ages to figure out, now, with that symptom it's the first place I'd look This /\ /\ /\ I just see someone says there is a hatch under the seat, if so that makes it even easier to check for shite in the swirl pot These days with Lift and Transmission Jack I never bother removing seats / carpet etc to check, i just support the tank with Trans Jack and drop it down 10 mins usually, perhaps an extra half hour if a bolt breaks and needs a drill, or a metal pipe repair etc on an old rust bucket

I couldn't find Door Module on the Skoda in VAG Com, so looks like could be the Motor / Module assy then, we'll try the Switches first, as they take 10 seconds to fit, but yeah, I was suspicious of not finding a door module..................... Trouble is as a rule I don't do a lot with Skoda's so I wasn't sure this old shitter would actually have a door module For those new to the party lol, thanks for the help but if you'd read back, I checked Fuses and Door Wiring for breaks, plus the A Post Multiplugs and all were good. Anyone else (regular billy), and I've have took the Door apart, but just trying to save her some money, she's a damned good postie, and does a lot for the local community. She'll probably only end up getting charged the parts at cost anyways Next old shitter lol .................. Passat 1.9 TDI Wagon, 2003 so a B5.5 which has a Steel Subframe, (well it used to before the tin mice ate it The rest of it is mint, he's had it from 3 years old, loves it, and it's MOT time, though how the fuck it passed last year I'll never know ............... Looks like that Sprayer fella "Stevie Wonder" is now doing MOT's somewhere round here So it's having Good used S/Frame, Front Caliper, Discs and Pads, Rear Caliper and Pads, Side Impact Airbag Crash Sensor and a couple of bulbs, light bulbs are optional in Glenelg so I'm told That sold GLA went out, the guy and wifey turned up in an Immaculate looking 2005 2.0 HDI Berlingo Desire with ABS & SRS Light on !! He says "I suppose you don't know anyone who will buy our old Car pointing at the Citrooooon ?" Apparantly he was quoted a million pounds for a BSI job, so I gave it a look over, normally I'd not touch anything this old to retail, but it's like new underneath, nice Metallic Blue, trim all good and 98k miles, so I bid him £150, which he took Had it on Lexia this morning, fuck all wrong with BSI, SRS showing Left Pre Tensioner (coded that as not present), Airbag Light off now , needs Right front ABS Sensor / Reluctor, I've ordered both, no other faults, drives beautifully !! I've just phoned a local fella I knew was looking for something like this, told him it'll be ready for Friday, £1995 with fresh MOT and Oil and all Filters Service ........... SOLD ............ And to cap it all I just won £45 off a Scratch Card, yeah good start to February -

I agree Mark She's just picked the Car up, Drivers Switch Pack ordered, Car coming in 11th Feb I just hate Parts Darts, but sometimes, if, like this one, it's not an obvious fault like a Fuse, Wiring Plug etc, and the parts aren't too expensive it just plain makes sense -
I always use Febi or Lemfoerder on my own MB's, they are the OEM for MB. Get a "First Line" Ball Joint for a Mercedes from your factor and compare it to the Febi / Lemfoerder Equivalent, you can see and feel the difference, that is why we (myself and a local fleet owner mate) no longer use "First Line" .................... Most of my Customers, and my own Cars will clap them out before the next MOT, yeah ok the factor will give us another, but you soon get tired of doing the same job several times over !! All the OEM parts I've ever fitted does stellar mileage, even the local 'Prawn' big Sprinters that get hammered and abused between Kyle of Lochalsh and Manchester every night of the week don't bugger up Febi Swivels, the First Line stuff was frightening, monthly vehicle checks and they would be fucked every other one, it was that that stopped us using them !!

Hi, thanks but that is the MkII Fabia type switches, the 6Y has a one piece set up like these Chinese ones :- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Electric-Window-Control-Panel-Switches-Front-Right-For-Skoda-Fabia-1J395985-R5P2/123240689771?epid=1869166583&hash=item1cb1b7b06b:g:ST0AAOSwDyBbQy9n -
Hi, Yeah, I remember that guy near Pipecraft, he specialised in Yank Autos, we did a fair few for an Importer, used to by the odd bits off them, but I can't remember their trading name now !! Yeah that sounds like Leaney diagnosis, then when it's all in a million bits you'd have got the phone call ...................... Sorry to say it needs x y & z as well and that's all extra, now it will cost you 2 grand !! Back in them days they had a lot of "Core Units" in stock, we would buy the odd one off 'em ................... I remember one day I was just leaving Leaneys' place as an old Transit turned up, a few quite big gentlemen of ethnic origin leapt out of it and started rucking over their "drug dealer mates" BMW 7 Series that they had fucked up, then out came the shooter, fired in the air, more threats etc and then a few minutes later, after they had gone the Cops arrived, I was stood over the road by then talking to some guys in the MOT garage unit opposite, they reckoned it was almost a daily occurrence AND THEN .................. There was John Dodd, another Auto Box man, he's the guy who built that Merlin V12 Engined Car, got nicked at over 200mph in it, it caught fire on a German Autobahn, and Rolls Royce sued him for trademark infringement 'cos he put a RR Grille and silver lady on the front of it............. Right character he was I think he ended up in Spain, ripping off the locals for their Auto Boxes Soooooooo many cowboys in the Auto, (and Manual) box trade LOL, another one I just remembered .................. One of the Leaneys ................ he had an 827 Rover in, like a 3 year old Car back then, he'd fucked up that Auto Box, guy was gonna sue / batter / shoot (delete as appropriate) Mr Leaney, so that weekend he hires an 827 Rover from Orchard Auto's in Dartford, "must have an Automatic" he tells the girl on the hire desk ................. You can guess the rest, needless to say the Hire Car was reported stolen after a couple of days, and later found in Charlton with no Gearbox in it !! Tom Brown ? (IIRC) who owned Orchard Autos then knew fine well what had happened as soon as he saw the name Leaney, but he could never prove it !! Fuck, I definitely should write a book
