Everyone has given a correct answer, like I said earlier it can mean any number of things, it is just telling you to "Visit Workshop", which means to be certain what it is lit up for you get it scanned and fix whatever is wrong, be that due for service, battery voltage low, brake pad wear, turd on the back seat etc etc etc This means when it is on and the owner heeds it the main Stealers and the likes of me can sell a 1hr Diagnostiactionmabob
-
lol It often rains at the back of our house and the sun is shining, bone dry at the front of the house My Range Rover gave a nice warm red glow from the whole Car when it accidentally caught fire many moons ago
-
I only started back this Monday .................. Workshop flat out and sold 1, definite Depo taken on another, picking up tomorrow morning, both over 7k
-
The New MB's actually send a message to MB and they can access the Fault Codes Data etc via "The Cloud" wherever the fuck "The Cloud" may be, usually over the owners head
-
Absolutely, it's like "Visit Workshop" message on an MB, it could be a whole heap of things, including service or a low battery The more intelligent Mercs actually say "Coolant Visit Workshop" / "ABS Visit Workshop" / "Battery Visit Workshop" / "Airmatic Visit Workshop" etc etc etc

Here's a Halfrauds Diagnosis from over Christmas Time ......................... 2009 Jeep Patriot CRD 4x4 Awful racket driving up the road, Halfrauds said "You need a full new Exhaust System with CAT etc etc". Old boy from Glenelg is one of my regulars, booked it in today at 12 noon, to see exactly what was wrong with Exhaust, I put it through MOT a while back, and don't remember the Ex being that old on it, so was skeptical.................. On the lift, absolutely fuck all wrong with Exhaust, gave everything underneath a tug / lever / check but NFF WTF ?????????? Dropped it off the Lift, old boy says it's awful noise, (and he's halfways deaf) ................ from 30 MPH upwards it gets really loud he says, so off we trot on road test ........................... Couple of hundred yards was enough for me, Wheel Bearing at front !! I have to admit I don't think I've ever had one as loud as it was, a road speed related horrendous rumbling with a sort of Harmonic through the vehicle, at 60 MPH it sounded like a V8 Nascar going past the pit lane ..................... Back on the lift, stuck it in 6th gear on idle wheels off ground obviously, yeah, NSF absolutely, and OSF got a bit of noise, so I dropped him home. 2 Bearings will be here next week, plus a couple of ABS Sensors for good measure, they will likely break on disassembly !!

/\ /\ /\ Yeah, could well have opened a Can of the proverbial there Who's gonna be the first to get the call ................ "Since I bought that £200 Skoda off you 5 and a half years ago .............................. "

Ha Ha Ha, (Screen / Coffee Spat) lololol best laugh so far today, and couldn't agree with you more. I once had an Apprentice at the Transmission Firm, his Dad was an RAC Breakdown Waller, a real lovely guy but an absolute clueless c*nt, and that was back when there were still a few Cars on the road with Carburettors and Distributors LIKE

errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrm let me see, I'll have to go and google that one

Never a truer word spoken, the oldest MB on our little fleet is 2002, done 190 k miles and I'd get in it and drive to Kent and back anytime, no proberlemo !! Yeh, like all my Cars it's had dough spent, especially when I first buy 'em but then they return years of stellar service !! Get on top of them and stay on top Sadly the billies don't Big Big again never a truer word spoken Coffee again, second time I've cleaned this screen today
-
FFS I've heard it all now !! It doesn't surprise me. If I was down South with you guys, I'd be cutting peoples grass or cleaning bloody windows by now !! No wonder there is so much stress amongst Car Dealers these days. I was reading some ot the silly 'billy' stories the other day, and although i wouldn't come back to England I was thinking i really miss some of that ..................... Reality Check !! Yeah I miss it for all of 5 minutes I really think this nanny state has gone waaaaaay too far, a Used Car is just that, it is not a New Car, jeez the Mfrs only Warranty the bloody things for ~ 5 years Have you ever been to USA and bought a used car off a lot ? We did that and drove across states, real eye opener as to the shit they sell, caveat emptor !! I likened it to our old "Bomb Site" Traders back in the 1980's Thanks Nick & EPV

Hmmmm, not sure I'd trust an RAC / AA Diagnosis, I get plenty towed in here in the Summer ............................. Here's a couple from last Summer ........................ Auto Mazda Bongo Camper RAC said "The Gearbox is FUBAR", that was water in fuel tank, hardly any Engine power !! 2011 C Class wouldn't Start ................ AA said "Crank Position Sensor" ................ It wasn't even cranking, a drink had been spilt in the Gear Shifter !!
-
Could you please explain that Nick, something I've never heard of on a used Car ???????????
-
It's a love hate thing for me................... I don't buy VAG products full stop, and won't take a px either, as a Sales Car they are tick tock tick tock junk On the other hand, I earn plenty fixing the bloody things through the workshop Even the better local ones that come in for a service need at least one major fault addressing I absolutely love the MOT regs from recent years, now that almost any Light on Dash is a fail
-
So in 5 months now, how much have you spent on your Car Trade Business ? How much NET Profit have you earned from the Car Trade ?
-
Brakes are seized on and batteries are flat by now
-
Ha Ha Ha RTFM lol, but we've all done shit like that
-
..........for disaster
-
Agreed LIKE And a hire car whilst their wreck is fixed plus an overnight stay at the Hilton Your a bad man David Horgan, it's all your fault Fuck Right Off would have been my answer
-
I couldn't either .................. I was leaning on my garden wall smoking a Hamlet and laughing my tits off The Cops knew fine well I had moved it, so did pikey, but I was a real wild bear back in them days, and "known" to the Cops, they knew there was no point asking me any more questions Even the local Pikeys knew not to fockwit me after the odd "run in" with them from years gone by. I actually got on quite well with the "Elders amongst them", they were quite useful back in the day in the motor trade for hard to get Auto Gearbox Units, Engines, Interiors etc .................... AFAIK I'm sure they got them quite legally of course Ahhhhh, the "Good ole' Days again

Oh dear indeed ................... I've recently done a £1500 (parts only) Android OREO 8" Screen Multimedia Install with Headrest Rear Screens / DVD's that include IR Headphones for rear seat passengers, BT Phone, Steering Wheel Controls all working, DAB, DVB TV, Proper TPMS, NAVI, Reverse Camera, Internet, Media Cards, USB etc etc on my S Class, and the original Bose Speakers are so good I didn't need to touch them Whole lot looks Factory fitted too even puts up the Mercedes Logo when it boots up since I fockedwit Far better than the old dated fibre optic COMAND with CD Changer in the boot -
Some of these Scottish Lochs are hellish deep, very clean water too, that's why the area is popular for Divers, more so in winter, they reckon they can see further Diving's not for me, well except for the muff variety BIG LOL
