  1. Couldn't agree more, if that is in the same body condition all round I'd get £1995 for that within a day
  2. I like old Donald, he makes a lot of sense
  3. I looked at this in depth on Monday, my Pug Expert can tow 2.3 T on a Braked trailer with no load in Van, but there is Tools Jack etc, probably 100kg was going to take my mates trailer to pick up a Car but deal fell through. The Car was a small 1660kg Roadster, MB SLK R170, Braked Trailer weighed 500 kg, so that was close, anything over 1700kg would be a no no Even a 7.5 tonner Recovery truck will not legally carry a big 4x4 / SUV etc, that's why I had the 12 tonne IVECO when I had the gearbox firm Oh, and if you are using a 4x4 with Trailer for Motor Trade purposes you need a Tacho and all the hassle that creates
  4. Send one of them up here !! Local Garages and I cannot get anyone to take the bastards away, they all want me to pay I have 2 old Vans here, an old Vito 638 which I had the good CDI engine and auto gearbox out of for a job, and my old Pug Expert Van with terminal rot. Both Vans are full to the gunnels with hefty workshop scrap, (heads gearboxes discs drums hubs etc etc plus a load of batteries and cats to go !! No money in scrap in NW, last year I took a long hi top sprinter filled well with hefty scrap to fraggers, 140 mile round trip, didn't cover the diesel I'm going to chop them all up into little bits next year and bury them under a pile of rocks when I fill in a bit of our croft to concrete a 2500 sq ft base
  5. I had a fitter who worked for me when i was down south, had a buyer coming for his old van, white escort with loads of scabs, he took a big bottle of tippex outta the office and touched in all the little scabby bits, billy bought it, it rained a couple of days later, the guy came back moaning it had gone rusty over night
  6. LOL, it's all feckin wonderful till you get a capture from smart arsed plod
  7. LOL guys, yes you would need to move, I came here to get away from all the knob jockeys and hassle some of you guys get I don't come cheap though, but you would get absolutely no hassle, and the Cars are right as soon as they are ready, you wouldn't need to be bringing them back for the same fault Why haven't you guys found me a V6 R170 yet btw ?? Someone on here must have one they'll trade out for bangers and mash xmas dosh !!
  8. Agreed, I would touch those examples in.
  9. Exactly +1 to that I had this conversation yesterday with a guy (new customer), who said I was a bit dear I asked him where the barbed wire is around my Workshop (keeping him in) lol I then told him I can justify every penny on my Invoices and if there is something he's not happy about all he has to do is ask. He will come back, just a posh recently relocated Engleesh from Plockton chancing his arm "discount for cash old bean" I also told him these days Cash is a PITA and I'd rather have a Bank Transfer No, 80% the other 20% aren't getting the Wake Up signal

  11. I don't think there is one since Tim Farley in Dartford packed it in many years ago
  12. LOL I remember seeing that classic when they first did it, laughed so hard it was painful
  13. Thanks for that info My JLR is very new, so no doubt it will not do the Keys then
  14. Only if I really couldn't avoid it !! I did have a Bond Bug back when I was 16, put a mental 750 liquid cooled 2 stroke Suzuki bike engine in it
  15. Or you can get the Key Experts "EEPROMER" Man to unlock the Module and a make you a new key at a more sensible price I'd be interested to know if JLR can do this without needing a new module, if you were nearer me I'd give you a free hour on JLR to see if it's an option
  16. LOL, I know that I wasn't buying and selling back then, just fixing / driving Cars
  17. I hated the fuckin things with a passion Best thing about them was scrapping them and using the axle on a trike project
  18. @met Sadly I agree with you, I just hope it doesn't get that far until I am too old to want to drive, but I fear it will
  19. So now it's all the garages fault I hope they rip your licence up and throw it in the bin.
  20. Thank You for this, that is the Bosch Unit fitted to Micra's Quasqai's Juke's etc, I'll see if I can get the Code generator for future use
  21. This has been one of my points to the tree hugging arse holes, there are roughly 38 million licenced Cars on UK roads, so when everyone is forcibly removed from their "nasty baby and tree killing" internal combustion vehicles and made to get EV's the National Grid will not be able to charge them all ................... and don't get me started on why an EV is far more Environmentally un friendly than IC Engined Vehicles, I'd be typing for a week
  22. Great, good to hear. I'm currently looking for the Decoder S/W for these, do you happen to know what make that unit is, i.e. daewoo, clarion, blaupunkt etc etc etc ??
  23. AD Don't forget that the Compressor isn't just used for the Tornador Valetermabob, you will find a million other uses, with a few Air Tools and Air fittings around your unit are so useful ...................... Pumping up a Tyre Fluid Extractor Windy Gun Air Ratchet, Air Drill Air Buff Air Grinder Paraffin Gun for Degreasing Spray Gun DA Sander Blow Gun for blowing dirt leaves etc out of hard to get at areas and a whole bunch of other things And all that lot is Tax deductible
