  1. I would be worried about this. If the customer tells finanace company he wishes to reject, for whatever reason how hard are they going to fight. Finance compamies are worried about complaints going to the Financial Ombusman. I think they get 24 complaints "free" before every complaint costs something like £550 whether it is a valid complaint or not. The finance comopany will then be straight on the phone to you asking for their money. You won't have a chance to argue whether he is entitled to reject it!
  2. A lot of subprimes don't even see the car before collection in my experience. If you do a lot with Close I would speak to your rep. He should be helpful, the more business you put his way the more helpful!, especially if you have to negotiate a return. Whatever the customers motives he needs to be dealing with Advantage. Adavantage should then pursue you. It seems to me Advantage are fobbing the customer off by saying you won't accept a rejection. Which is why he is still driving the car. He should have written to Advantage rejecting it etc within the first 30 days. The only thing I would be wary of is the suppliers declaration. 2.7 "The goods are good condition, safe and of satisfactory condition and are fit for purpose under the provisions of the CRA 2015. And 3.1 "If any of the statements declared above are untrue..." 3.2 " Subject to clause 3.1 above. we shall indemnify you against all loss, damage and costs you sustain ....."
  3. Curious to know how this deal came about. Did the customer come through the broker (Zuto?) to you? Or did he come direct with his own finance? That's hilarious! I take it they have never read a finance document or the invoice which is addressed to them and deliver to the customer.
  4. Do any of these “on the Mot 4 years ago....” enquires actually buy a car?
  5. It (used to) amazes me how people are so concerned about an advisory from 3 years ago!
  6. Think of all the money you will save on pointy shoes!
  7. Tell her 45 days to turn around your stock. I think you'll need to be selling 10 a month to get a reasonable wage. How many of those 10 spaces is your Dad happy to let you use? Even if you have 10 for sale you'll need a couple more being prepped to replace sold stock. Probably another 1 or 2 waitng to be collected. The odd bit of crud px that you need to dispose of somehow. .
  8. How much do you expect to retain per unit after costs, Vat etc?
  9. James only posts in the super secret section. Rest assured they are still as good.
  10. I'm sure there is a video out there if you are into that thing!
  11. Try laughing gas. Much more customer friendly.
  12. For £300 I’ll send you the number of a Close Brothers rep who will help you do it for free.
  13. Sold a Focus to a technician at our local VW dealers, that says it all. He was telling me about all the infotaintment units they are replacing, under warranty on the latest Golfs/Passats at £5000 a go. That's not a misprint £5000!
  14. It was free. Now they want to charge.
  15. Had no end like this. Like others had said probably an ex rental from Jersey or form N Ireland. We used to get some the RAF lads had bought tax free when stationed abroad and the ones the car supermarkets bought in Europe. Only time it was an issue was when the Vauxhall’s were badged Opels. Suggest you get a quote via compare the market etc.

  17. Send him a letter Keep it simple. Something like Dear Mr...... Following our conversation on 24/09/2018 regarding your daughters car. As you are aware we extended our 3 month warranty to 6 months at your request as a gesture of goodwill so we are more than happy to look at the car for you. However you are refusing to allow either ourselves or the repairer you requested we use previously to examine the vehicle. We will of course stand by our warranty should you change your mind. Although please note we cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by continued use of the vehicle. As for the matter of a refund. We are more then happy to meet our responsibilities under the CRA 2015. Please let me know which option you would prefer. Regards ...... Of course we know what “our rights under CRA2015 “ mean
