  1. A friend of mine's wife had a problem with her bank. She went to the counter and told them the issue. The cashier summoned over a colleague who said "Would you like to come into my office to talk about it?" She replied "No I'm quite happy to do it here, and I'm sure the other customers waiting would like to see how good you are at handling issues" Needless to say she got the resolution she wanted.
  2. Did she make you wait for 2 hours then say she couldn’t help?
  3. Same as paying in at the bank. Fill in paying in book, give it to cashier. Credit appears in your account next day. Jobs a goodun! You’ll need to check it works for Barclays.
  4. Lloyds charge a similar amount for cash deposits. However I'm next to a post office and there is no charge for paying cash into a Lioyds account at the post office. Probably the same for other banks too.
  5. No phone calls 2 sales + 1 strong possibility. (Just needs to check with boyfriend) 6 for the week.
  6. " Must do surely? Otherwise how do they protect their outlay? If they don't then the car isn't the security and makes no difference" As far as I'm aware there is no requirement for a finance company to register a loan on HPI. But they still have an interest and the fact it's not registered is mute. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
  7. What's your last price??
  8. I like the the Astra https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201805136467314?advert-type=dealer-stock&dpp=749072 Not many dealers go to that effort to show you what it looks like under the wings
  9. Just received this from the Keeper of the Forum Who would cross the to the secret room must answer me these questions three, ere the other side he see. What is bidet slang for when describing a car? What was the name of the pub Arthur Daley used to drink in? What... is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow? (Apologies to Monty Python)
  10. " Nothing to worry about " I would disagree, having had experience of this a long time ago. In trading standards eyes unless you have done a mileage investigation. You are in trouble. Just because you didn't clock it doesn't make you innocent of selling a clocked car. They might not be able to prove who clocked it but a conviction is a conviction. It's all about the numbers. BTW I don't do investigations either so I'm not preaching from a high horse. Sold a car to a private customer as a trade sale. Again trouble.
  11. Removed cause I’m a numpty!
  12. If EPV is correct. I'm going to get a load of daily rentals!!!!!
  13. I've even had after a test drive "I don't like the colour" and "It's too many miles" Obviously the 7 mile test drive tipped it over the edge!
  14. Sold a car to a newly qualified lawyer on £21000
  15. The Auction house is only passing on your details because DVLA have sent a fine. I don’t think they are telling DVLA every time you buy a car.
  16. My advice. Avoid dealing with the public and you are on to a winner!!
  17. Ideally Dealer Auction should do it. It would help maintain the integrity of the site.
  18. Apparently R134a has quadrupled in price because there has been a poor crop this year!
  19. Was it originally two tone or is that how high the rust has got?
  20. Not tried it with Mercedes, but I usually say if I purchase a service book from you can you fill in the stamps. No issues with data protection there.
  21. Having read the report I'm surprised that there are no further details of the car listed. Model, reg, etc.
