I have only got 3 houses and One hotel Casper , must be doing something wrong Oh hang on , they charged me to stay at the hotel , and the two other houses are neighbours

Bit risky buying this sort of kit online in my thinking , we always go with a parts supplier that has access to such as Launch / Snap on or MAC Tools for various Diagnostics . Not only do you get Genuine stuff but they also have free updates , Courses at your premises free , Loans if needed , All great value add ons . Just really hope its genuine what you have though , all the best

Does appear cheap at £799 , must say . Try an update online , if its a non genuine it will chuck you out instantly , Stolen and it will chuck you out too .

4 months down the line and the clutch is really a wear and tear item . IF its the clutch plates or a wear tear part , Customer use can cause this to fail . Only you knows if under your pre sales testing the clutch was fine and working as should . Agreed a warranty on 3 months then its 3 months , not 3 and a bit or 4 , as there would be no point in saying 3 months would there , A positive no its not covered and its been working fine for 4 months and how ever many miles the customers done . Maybe they will ring to see if you would , maybe they wont , A firm NO sorry warranty expired 4 weeks ago will be expected . Not our job to let someone loose on a clutch then pay for it . I had a guy buy a small car off me once and moaned about the clutch , I told him straight its your car your problem 5 months down the line , we have a workshop so offered it at a lower rate but when we got in there he had proper ruined it , Ripped the thing to pieces. Dont fold or they will bleed you dry

Very nice Guy who was a part time delivery guy for a car parts motor factors near us was a victim two days ago , The whole place went down with Covid after one driver tested positive , 23 people 19 tested positive . So they isolate as per the law as they should , Poor Phil has four days at home turns worse overnight , dead two days later in hospital . Fit bloke , 59 yrs old but ran or walked 10 miles every day with his two dogs . Obviously been caught from someone bringing it into the building , who knows who but hes gone now . Made me think when we come out of lock down , this virus wont be gone will it , Im still going to keep people at 2 meteres , out the office , on site but out the office, no family running round either just one person to see the car , I know it can be done but just think that after lock down has done its even more important to keep ourselves SAFE . More important than now really . If Phil can die I'll say one thing ,any one of us could be next dealing with strangers .

Really need to get FCA approved to start with , Then find your self a Broker to deal with so you can propose the customers to finance . Other way is to approach someone like Close Brothers direct who are the finance company , But being a home trader or low units per month they may well say no . home trader is probably best with a Broker , Mallard may help , Evolution is a broker dealing with most of the finance companies , Octane is a broker too , But the start is your FCA licence so you have a an FRN number , Limited permission Broker number you want , they wont deal with you until you are FCA approved . Does come with costs and extra work though , not all roses , thorns too . But the commission at the month end is very very good income

Insurance in the covid 14-day cooling off period
David Horgan replied to Autoteca's topic in General Dealer Chat
Two years ago we had a freshly MOT'd X Type , Had the MOT 4 days before he came to px it against our Subaru WRX. My son took the x type with full history and fresh MOT in , Following day we put it on the ramp and the F####ing thing was eaten away with Rust , Holes every where in the Sills . I was that incensed i Phoned VOSA who came to look at it after they saw pictures . Gave me a form stating they had took it away and it was evidence to take the keeper to court , so i did and won my £800 back . Vosa in turn went to the MOT garage with two secret shopper cars , then presented him with the Xtype , Lost his Licence pronto . Love to have been there . According to the owner that car had not been on site and that was his defense -

Of course they can tax the car without insurance been able to do so for years now . Insurance is something the new owner has to do , Not us traders , We sell cars not tax and insurance . Theres your car and paper work Mr/Mrs New owner , Tax it on the green slip , Thank you goodbye . Oh don't forget you need to insure it to drive it , Bye -
Storage of boring overpriced shite there , no funny stuff going storing those types , sat waiting for their values to fall so they will sell . Probably due to over selling on PCP deals and then back fired when they all got handed back. Seen that TV program " The undateables " well these are the " Unsellables " what normally happened is the customer paid of the loan on finance and kept the cars till they were 5/6 years old now they sit in that high price boring shite level of a cars life were no one is going to give 8k for one and lose a packet Or some lease deal gone sour . either way they will be there a while till somebody writes the values off

Barclay card we use . Very low rates on debit cards , Find customers love card payment, debit only for car sales though , Just don't take credit cards for car sales because of the cost , Does depend on the amount you put through as what the rates will be though . We have 0.17 % on debit which is silly low , Credit is a little higher but we don't use credit cards except for service work and repairs ,
