  1. I’m £1600 for 15 + 3 (approx) inc VAT
  2. Hi Mark, I price competitively within my locality 100 miles, but my cars tend be older and not mainstream so there isn’t a lot of competition. I get lots of buyers coming up from Cornwall because they realise they have to travel for the right car. I equally get buyers from London regularly because they are buying it cheaper from me. The secret is to know your market. I respect your ethos on getting things right, but your Fiat looks overpriced to me, what does the car owe you ? Can you break down its cost, hammer price, prep, paint, warranty etc... I am with everyone else on the pictures, it doesn’t look good taking pictures in a puddle in what is clearly a car park.... first impressions are everything. I have a one owner 500 Lounge which I took in PX (I know it’s pink) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/391968156827?_mwBanner=1&redirect=mobile
  3. What about when it’s freezing cold and the exhaust is a lot more smoky? All cars do it....
  4. https://www.cardealer5.co.uk/
  5. Just save your pictures and video and explain when completing your PDI you keep a copy of all your advertising.
  6. Mark, surely you understand you need your own website to be believed and trusted by your customers. CarDealer5 is fantastic value
  7. Price paid is the price paid not the RRP
  8. With effect from 25/05/18.
  9. I didn’t say I didn’t have competition, I said they buy different stock.
  10. Agreed, every car should be safe, sound and roadworthy.
  11. We don’t compete against each other, different types of stock.
  12. The DPA is all about information kept on computer. It covers personal information, medical, monetary records etc etc.... Nothing at all to do with a service receipt passed on by the previous owner. Now I have a real hatred for time wasters, idiots, cretins, bulliesand morons and feel it is my responsibility to stand up to the pond life, in fact I quite enjoy it Now I know, some of the wiser old owls on here have learned to stop the grief before it begins (and I agree) but sometimes these idiots need standing up to. Let the sport begin....
  13. There’s a bloke at Bristol that approaches me when I’m looking at a car he’s clearly interested in and asks me to “flip” for it.... we’re not mates and I don’t even know his name....... I just say I’m on a commission or I’m not really interested..... The only other bidder I watch is the auctioneers eyes.....
  14. I regularly buy Manheim SIlver including full delivery, only had a couple of issues which has always been resolved quickly and amicably.
  15. Nothing on my website at the moment as I’m on holiday, it’ll be back up mid April. You can still watch my YouTube videos.
  16. Mark welcome. If you can trade from home with up to 12 in stock and without hardly any overheads you should make a jolly good living. Do your best to keep your neighbours on your side, don’t take up anyone’s parking spaces, don’t get cars delivered to your home, be very discreet. I would also befriend a local garage, give them all your mechanical work and once “trusted” ask if it’s ok to meet your punters there. Because as soon as your neighbours within your area “gets wind” that you are using your home for Motor Trading there will be complaint letters to the council, jealousy and a genuine hatred towards you. Be warned, I know this from years of experience. Other than that, its hard work but very rewarding. I wish you the very best of luck.
  17. Welcome. Get proper diagnosis
  18. Fantastic S&B. I’m gonna save that one in the memory banks
  19. You shouldn’t of ignored his first letter, you should of writen back requesting (as per your PDI) he returns it for you to fully inspect with a reminder stating clearly “wear n tear” expected of a 15 year vehicle is specifically excluded from the CRA.... Its amazing how many chancers disappear.
  20. I’ve bet you’ve bent over backwards from start to finish to accommodate him, and he’s paying you back by thinking he can take advantage of you. I hate punters like this. In no uncertain terms, tell him it’s his responsibility to check the car thoroughly and to show due diligence at the point of collection. You can also prove this. If his vehicle has been damaged since then it is solely down to him. (I wonder if he insured it).....
  21. Love V70’s and XC90’s, expensive to prep but always good sellers...
  22. Me too........ Punt.... stretch limo with lots of drunken virgins.... Just as long as they’re not acalled Colin....
