  1. Pip, it’s academic. Scum think they have an opportunity to earn out of it so they will try it on. Your insurers will defend to the hilt. It may still affect your premium even if non fault, that’s how insurance works. I feel your pain.
  2. Welcome CRW great introduction. Are you anywhere near Indian Queens? I mainly stock diesel, I haven’t even considered buying anything else...
  3. The business wasn’t incorporated or registered as an auction. It’s nature of business is car sales, just like ours. They cannot negate consumers rights just because they call themselves an “auction.”
  4. Can’t see a company number on the website or even a Ltd company name... you can’t operate the way they do legally as explained on their website.
  5. Now there’s a compliment to the experience here.
  6. Justin, an ungrateful expectant attitude springs to mind.
  7. Hostility, arrogance ? My blood is really starting to boil.........
  8. It’s all about.... Attitude..
  9. Lucas should be admired for his tenacity and desire, you can’t help but be enthused by someone who has the balls to make it happen. He came with no attitude, a language barrier and asked for help, he’s making it happen for himself with repeated big thanks to us for the help.
  10. Before not coming back. Make sure you aim your pointy shoes towards the nearest telephone to declare to the HMRC of all the additional income you’ve earned.
  11. And, this should have be done right from the start. It's a secondary income and should be declared, not only that, the people who do it are undercutting us, robbing us of our income and giving us all a bad name...
  12. You didn’t and I didn’t say you did. I was stating a fact. If I was you, stick to putting your pointy shoes on in the morning and take a wage.
  13. And they think it’s easy money
  14. It doesn't make you want to help a newbie when they haven't hardly done any research or show some kind of initiative. We are adults HERE, this isn't a forum for schooling newbies who can't be arsed to work things out for themselves.... and then when some of these newbies get given some sound advice, they throw it back with attitude. EPV, has gotton off his arse and has made it happen for himself, he's made his own successful business work for him. These are the type of newbies I like to help. You can't be mothered / mollycoddled into learning this trade - it has to come from within. AD
  15. “Truly wonderful the mind of a child is”
  16. Yes, once over a bank holiday. Transfers regularly go for fraud checks, it’s part of the process. I will only release the car when I have seen the funds have left the customers account, or heard their bank on the phone confirm payment will be sent. Every customer has already added me as a payee and transferred a deposit, I only accept transfers for the balance so I feel it’s unreasonable of me to expect the customer to wait for the funds to arrive.
  17. As long as the customer has shown me the funds have gone out of his account (I photo it) I'll let them go. I can't be assed to wait now until it shows. All my customers pay an initial payment by transfer so there is a paper trail. 90% show immediately, some go off for further checks and can take longer. I trust my nose.
