Changing a Naff Private Plate Back to Original Year Plate!!
Arfur Dealy replied to mayusravi's topic in General Dealer Chat
You can't change the plate back. Go to https://dvlaregistrations.dvla.gov.uk/ and buy her a new plate. You can only do this when you have the current log book in your name. -
He's from Ireland, you would need the international banking numbers and codes etc, can take up to 3 days. I've just been through this with a BMW which has gone Malta

It's about being part of a community, you haven't even introduced yourself and your business, but you want us to spend our time and help you. If you cannot communicate politely and respectfully you can simply jog on.

I saw Star Wars in 1977, I was 10 and a well into skateboarding. Close Encounters or the 3rd kind and then ET with with BMX's.... It was wondrous... my formative years... I'm still skating and BMX'ing at 51.........just.. -
Courtesy and manners cost nothing.
-
My thoughts are, you’ve just joined and want help from professionals in the trade without even having the courtesy to introduce yourself and your business.

I really don’t see how AT’s domination can be beaten, huge players with millions and millions invested can’t even get close. Of course the others get some run off but it’s pittance in comparison. Look at the dominance of FB over the world. Marketplace is free and it still can’t attract quality buyers, maybe this’ll change of the next few years but I doubt it. I would love to lose the horrendous AT bill but they get results consistently.

I BIN silver / gold from all over the country and always include delivery, I don't collect. This ensures it drives at least onto the transporter and no wasted journeys for me, I've had a few which transport couldn't even get started so you then get the call saying get onto Surecheck, which I play the game, wait penitently and they resolve remotely. I have also had a few which have been driven down and self destructed on the way and been fully refunded. Delivery gives you a lot more assurances. I think I've only been to an auction once this year.... But, you can't do this as a newbie, you need years of experience to be able to even have a clue as to what you are doing buy online. You need the right foundations to be able to make the right choices to buy from the right sellers in the first place. -

I test the car first to make sure there’s no horrible faults. You have to know if it’s worth investing in, not point in MOTing it if your gonna be ripped by the tester. -
I'm in, sounds like a great idea, how much money do you want And a two up two down cheap semi in a not so nice part of Leeds......

I generally take it them out for 30 minutes and ream the asses off them. They then go in for an MOT, the PDI process is completed partially during my test, during the MOT and any subsequent repairs. Customer signs the Lawgistics PDI on collection confirming all ok....
