  1. I’m staying away from controversy, feeling safe in the sanctity of my own padded cell in the private section... David, I’d wait a week then politely follow up. Looking forward to you joining
  2. I swear by Zoflora, it actually eats the bacteria in the smell. Fabulous stuff....
  3. Exactly my thoughts Did you learn that whilst being a copper ? Santander does
  4. The change will be the dealer won’t be able to set the rate so that they earn more commission, this clearly is in the best interest of the consumer. At least now the consumer will know they will be getting the best deal available from that said dealer, this surely will make the market fair. You’ll still be earning your commissions, the FH still have to lend, all its doing is making it open and transparent. The consumer will still end up paying the same dependent on their rating and ability.
  5. Best month of the year for me with 8 sold so far. Profit and stats are all looking very good, in fact I was in the black by the 3rd. I am varying my stock and nicking some cheapies so maybe that’s helping.(under 5k) 25 currently in stock, 10 advertised, 2 waiting for collection and 13 in prep.... Saying that, I’ll probably now do jack for the next two weeks
  6. The consumer is always deemed to be a laymen. The importance is they are confirming nothing is apparently faulty after fully testing it. It is pertinent because it stops the "it was like it when I bought it" brigade.......
  7. Yes, with Lawgistics they confirm they have tested and they there are no apparent faults.
  8. This. All of my cars are sold prior to collection, I don’t appoint maybes. My customers have seen the video of me test driving it and have already made the decision to purchase on that basis. I would never let someone test drive unaccompanied. If they ask to go on a test drive, I drive, demonstrate and confirm it’s exactly how I described it. But its rare. In sales talk I use the “Assumptive close” the car is theirs from the moment the deposit is remotely received. If they ask to drive, no problem, I take them out and let them bring it back, but it’s very rare.
  9. Talking about slow cars, I have a 10 year old Honda Insight and it is by far the slowest car I’ve driven in years......
  10. I had this on an Audi and it was steam, the egr cooler “something cooler” was leaking. Definitely take it to a diesel specialist. I use http://www.electro-diesel.co.uk/ for diesel problems. They know their beans...
  11. No, I charge just under the average.
  12. 90% of the time just under AT avg Retail.
  13. Nearest first is always my first preference.
  14. No Range Rovers, no Vauxhall’s, no Minis, no Powershifts, no ecoboosts, don’t like Citroen, Fiat, Peugeot, anything TFSI, small cars, entry models, poverty spec...... the list is endless....
  15. Mark, I stopped the CD5 autofeed almost immediately because it simply didn't work, but continued manually. I've sold quite a few through FB now, but the general quality is very low. The pre-set, lazy question "is it still available" annoys the frig out of me BTW...
  16. English lit, language and woodwork, not that it’s ever helped me.
  17. You'll need written confirmation from the first owner clarifying the mileage. A discrepancy is a discrepancy / black mark against the car. You didn't buy into a mileage problem....
  18. This. I’ll never owe a penny to anyone ever again. There’s nothing more learned than losing everything and your whole life through no fault of your own. People have short memories. Debt takes away YOUR control on your business. I’m sure it works for some very well and it’s all sweet and rosy until.... never again for me. My business is mine, if I want to take off 6 weeks for summer with my family I can. I’m not a bitch to debt, I control my life. That’s the difference.
