  1. Agreed, in 31 years I have never offered a warranty... Absolutely no need to on older cars. Mr Customer, no Insurance company will cover wear an tear, without weaseling out of it. Your Consumer Rights states clearly wear n tear inst covered. When you buy a car year's past its manufacturers warranty it is your responsibility to take ownership / repair and maintain it. All of my cars are freshly MOT'd and independently inspected to insure they are fit for purpose at the point of sale........You take Mr Customer responsibility from there on
  2. The grading system really is pot luck, however I agree it definitely benefits the buyer.... Bought a 60 plate V70 D5 today with an "engine idles unevenly", there's absolutely nothing wrong with it.....
  3. If you have a full independent inspection stating the car was all good then you've covered yourself, the customer would have to prove the fault was there are the point of sale (that's only for 30 days). Fare wear and tear is not covered by the CRA
  4. A couple of email sniffs, but nothing serious as yet...
  5. I think it’s by noon the next day, but don’t quote me on it...
  6. Well done MrC, it looks fantastic ! Well don't for following your heart,
  7. Don't be too hasty giving away the bangers, there's good profits in them. You just have to make sure you cover yourself when selling. As BHM said above, write a brutally honest advert and state clearly the car will be sold using an "unroadworthy" invoice. No come backs entertained at all. Simply cover yourself and the pond life will appear with a wad
  8. Tell them over the phone. Dear Mr Customer, when you are buying a trade disposal car, you are buying it on the basis that it is unroadworthy and not fit for any purpose other than to broken for parts only. It must be trailored away and not driven on the road. You accept that it comes without any warranty as to its condition. You will not given the current MOT certificate.
  9. Bump, just advertised is for £1490 let's see what happens..
  10. XfS, I think your first priority is to call planning, explain your business to them... Thell will tell you their feelings on whether B1 (warehouse) will be viable for your business. Everything else is just a waste of time until you've got your foundations right:) best of luck!
  11. I don't know why they stopped showing the name of the garage, but it's good It's news they've now reinstated it...... Will make researching the lost history much easier

  17. There's no need anymore to subscribe to either, Manheim include all the CAP values on their website and catalogs. A simple net search within 60 miles will give you the local retail, then just work out what margin you require.
