  1. The thing is though its a very quiet forum, since the launch of the IMDA on the 5th, there's been very little to no activity since Tuesday....
  2. Grant, what you are asking for in a forum is exactly what the IMDA offers, join the IMDA forum, it is a closed forum, no public just trade only.
  3. I've ignored it for years... sorry Mr Officer (you do a great job BTW) my wife's just about to deliver our first baby and my mind isn't correctly on my job......It's never happened before.....
  4. Jim, I don't think I miss interpreted your reply. Keep up the good work. Arfur
  5. "Unsure if that was the inevitable answer you were hoping for." Jim, you said everything right until the last sentence, where you completely ruined your reply....Why ? I've done nothing but praise you and the IMDA, but I'm finding it increasing difficult with the tone of your replies and what you are trying to imply with simple, straightforward and justifiable questions? The same tone has appeared against Trade Vet and MET, these little digs, jibes are completely unprofessional and unnecessary. If you are going to be responding in the name of the IMDA I think you need to take a deep look at your attitude and professionalism.
  6. This question is inevitable. The IMDA is a "non profit organisation" is anyone taking fees / pay / a wage out of of the joining membership ?
  7. Dacia are for people who want the cheapest crappiest most horrible new car, just so they can get through the new 2/3 year warranty period without worry or expense. These people hate cars, they have no interest in cars, they are just cheap.... Anyone who would even contemplate buying a used example would have to be even lower.... Just my opinion... Just imagine the type of customer you would have to deal with who is after a used Dacia.....
  8. Did you get the car PDI'd and MOT'd prior to sale ? Do you have a signed PDI stating no probs with car on collection.....Your PDI or Sales Invoice should state clearly the car MUST be returned to you for any CRA alleged repairs. If you havent done the job properly and covered yourself you are leaving yourself completely open to abuse....
  9. I use fixate gel pads, they are really useful, but only when dry.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mini-Anti-Slip-Fixate-Gel-Pad-Sticky-Mat-Reusable-Non-Slip-Wall-Sticker-Black/292319752737?hash=item440f9d7221:g:MZgAAOSw7z1Z-abW
  10. David, it looks to me like you are being defensive and ganging up on Met. Also, the little patronising comments, and the underlying theme than we are the best blah blah.. If you are going to self promote yourselves as the “magnificent 7” you are gonna get jibes, I thought Met was funny and he certainly wasn’t trying to be rude, jesting maybe.... I admire what you are trying to do, and respect you all deeply, but as pointed out to you by Lawgistics, you need to be getting your house in order to be believable. Just my opinion.
  11. Now........That's why I am a member of Lawgistics
  12. Tom, if you need best practice advise join the IMDA.
  13. On a banger agreed, but on a car with a larger margin yes, plus it’ll sell quick aswell
  14. +1 great selling point, top quality genuine LUK clutch just fitted Mr Customer, here’s the invoice
  15. I’m afraid I cannot excite you in that manor, I’d rather blind myself with a spoon than fix windscreens for a career. You however are claiming to be an expert. Why can’t you show us some of your superior glass fixing jobs, surely you photograph before and after ?
  16. Tom, I actually take it a step further. I personally video the whole service book, describing every service date and mileage, plus show all the receipts for work (if applicable). If I don’t have history it is fully explained in the video. I also show the V5, MOT history, advisory information, the Independent PDI and available keys. I do this to be completely, upfront, open and transparent. I’m not trying to teach you to suck eggs, but my customers are 100% guaranteed no surprises on collection.
  17. I was thinking about a tractor / commercial battery, better and cheaper than a 7 series... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lion-Batteries-Commercial-Battery-125Ah-Type-656-800CCA-OEM-Quality-Replacement/332098711652?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&redirect=mobile
