Guy calls yesterday morning, says he wants to buy and he agrees he will pay a paypal deposit to me with 10 mins ( I sent him the invoice ). Anyway, 2 hours later nothing has arrived and he's not answering the phone, I try him again later in the afternoon, he's not responding.... Anyway the car sold last night, substantial deposit received by transfer.....Job done. This morning, I wake up to three emails from the non-payer asking numerous stupid questions and why isn't his car still advertised. He doesn't mention anything about not paying the promised deposit.. This in my response....... "Andy, I waited patiently for your deposit (you assured me it’ll arrive within 10mins). As you already know, you didn’t pay neither did you show me the courtesy to tell me you weren’t going to or able to pay. I really don’t appreciate you lying to me. Politeness and courtesy costs nothing.As you can see the listing has ended and the car has sold to a Gent who keeps to his word. Kindest Regards"

It’s rare I scrap, I tell em if your car is less that £500 as a px, it’s not attractive as a PX to retail. I say I can dispose of the car for you and normally work out a deal. I get maybe 5/6 year which are left with me, otherwise I get them to mot their car prior to PX and allow cap average. That way I know I’m not buying a money pit.

Your insurer will need to know where your cars are kept so they can underwrite your policy correctly. Unless you tax every car you will need Trade plates.

You'll need numerous insurances, your Traders Policy will need multiple addresses, CCTV security, Public liability, trade plates, planning for usage agreed by the council..... Its not as straightforward as you might think.....
