  1. I’d have thought it you’re selling write offs you’d need to be 100% on the law. I’d also be curious to know why you’d want to sell something with no warranty? The simple answer is yes, none of us are under any obligation whatsoever to offer any kind of warranty. However, if the clutch fails within a month you’re probably, not withstanding extenuating circumstances, legally obliged to fix it. Nothing to do with a warranty, just your legal obligation. The key is for you to understand the difference between the law and a warranty.
  2. I had this idea about a year ago pleased to see it being done. One day i’ll have to actually go and pitch for some money. They’ll certainly need it to get the public aware. The idea is to cut out the middle man - auctions. I’ll probably sign up.
  3. Now and again. Depends on the punter. I would normally speak first and if they continue dialogue on WhatsApp that’s fine. We’ve spoken, they’re just more comfortable by text. No problem. If it’s all text and badgering about cost they can take a jump.
  4. Do you ever ring them and remind them of what they said? Love it when they answer
  5. Occasionally if the punter wants a heavy discount or to take it the same day and I want the sale (overage/ unpopular) the MOT can be a negotiating point. PDI, Service, MOT etc are important as normal matter of course I agree. There's a chap near me who's knocking out three at a time across his driveway. I've no problem with it apart from the fact he leaves the BCA yellow sticker and barcode on full display. Really makes my blood boil.
  6. We all started somewhere and we all have the option to go back there... sometimes it looks very appealing but there's a reason we changed.
  7. People I know who have never been quiet are quiet. We just had a really good week which was much needed. Hoping for some strong action right through to Mid November from now because for me it never felt like 2019 really started.
  8. "hello, I've brought some documents for you to see so that we can negotiate... shall we begin?"
  9. Wait wait... so your main selling point for your site is user privacy? You think that someone is going to use a site that advertising cars and chose your site because it's the most private? Who gives a shit that their behaviour on a site they're using to buy a car is being monitored?
  10. Grant, your X3 has the wrong price on it mate, assume it feeds to AT so don't want you to miss a sale. Great looking cars btw.
  11. Fuck me. Is this in any way normal behaviour for a punter at high price brackets? It's the potential for this kind of shit that makes me stay away. I'd listen for a while but be unable to stop from dosing them so hard with a big load of reality if they insisted on me returning their money or having misled them.
  12. Could you please introduce your next car by coming into the shot on a skateboard? I'm not even piss taking it would really make my day. Del Boy's going to give you £50 next week if you do, honest
  13. You wouldn’t need to prove you’re an employee you’re on his insurance. None of the plods business whether you’re an employee or not.
  14. Thanks Mikey - i was about to throw it through the wall
  15. Howdy! God dang Lincoln’s always foolin’ around huh? Have your mech pop the hood and check the confederate union bolt for constitutional weepage. Hail Trump partner.
  16. Thanks for updating - often people forget to. Sorry it’s costing so much, this can be a cruel game at times!
  17. Not personally but a garage we use said they’ve had bad wheel bearings, sensors and a spring that went bang an hour after being fitted. Maybe not the clutch or flywheel plates but the bearing is possible. I wonder whether it’s worth driving the car and riding the clutch a little, see if some wear/ use will sort it out?
  18. Possible the new part is defective. Is happening more and more nowadays.
  19. That's probably why a big car supermarket, already with a huge site, are opening another in Peterborough. I imagine once the banks are getting finance paid back they chuck it at you?
  20. You say that but I used to send files to a guy somewhere in Eastern Europe for remapping, he’d charge about £30 and the cars consistently ran better, were cleaner on emissions and had more power.
  21. Didn’t Clarkson say he had to flog his Ferrari after leaving it in London and coming back to more phlegm than a swimming pool has water in it?
