I have never known this situation ? have you double checked the vin matches the reg ? i would also double check the vin numbers on the car for tampering, at a guess i would suggest its got a twin when we had the local dvla offices and there was a situation like this they would send somebody out, not that they were any good at there job, she asked me where the vin number was The other week i applied for one with a £25 cheque, got a 2nd class letter returning cheque saying there was a mistake on it [ and i have studied and studied it, cant fault it ] unusually they did not return the v62 application with it [ they normally do] just said return the letter with another cheque, which i did same day, first class, log book came next day , which was a bit strange to say the least, if i had held out till next day, i would be £25 up, dvla, never ever rely on them, never assume they know what theyre doing, and always if its important send it recorded .

Very similar, an example is VWFS who did a Golf GTI promotion a couple of years back that had over 30% discount to make the monthly rentals really low.

Slightly different now for most we deal with. We have clients with manufacturer terms. In most cases the deal is constructed of manufacturers terms % and a dealer discount %. Example a Transit van, Ford Fleet May give 24% whilst the dealer gives 11% giving a total 35% discount of the list price. There are often conditions and minimum retention periods to stop people buying on fleet terms and selling on for a profit however it does still go on. As for Cazoo doing this, not a chance, the manufacturers don’t like their retail prices undermined. I would assume they tax the car but hold off change of keeper for 7 days and just backdate. Apparently they already have stock ready for the launch, wonder how long some has been held as it could of already had 1 or 2 book drops. As for prep, I guess they will need to set a standard in stone in regards standard as our industry standard (BVRLA) is really loose. I would also question the standard of refurbishment centres work. I was even wondering about the delivery cost, I know cars are going to be centrally stored therefore reducing overhead but then they are dispatched to a hub for cleaning and onward delivery to the client in a covered lorry which will be over 3.5t and no doubt dear to purchase and run. I can only assume there will be added value in commercial ties with warranty, finance, insurers etc to add value to the proposition.

Either way I hope you get it sorted

It doesn’t work like that with ford. Ford dealers need to achieve so many new registered cars to achieve a bonus from ford. This is why fords will pre register bundles of ford Ka’s and then sell them for £5995 (cost) to hit there new reg bonus. Well it was like this when I was there. Regarding mileage and retraction of a registered keeper, I remember fords did it after a customer had it for 400 miles however ive known cars to have 400 miles as pre delivery miles. I doubt you would get away with much more than that anyway. Went to Aston Barclay again today and the prices were absolutely off the scale. a 53 plate golf gti which capped at £850 went for £2900. Eye watering. Virtually anything decent achieving £500-£800 above book and the lower end stuff In Terrible condition.

They gave me the option to email... I rang up and they said they received it... They even wanted a pic of the interior or a "drawing" - out of date letters get with the times !

AAM90, just so you know that I'm not some sly creep like some I could name from this forum, I am telling you what I have just done. Reported this thread to the admin, suggesting it's removed and that you are removed from the private forum. There is no need, whatsoever, to tell people from the public forum, what happens in the private forum, or else, what is the point in having the private forum? You're just feeding the curiosity of a mob, people who just want the "gossip" and if they could be bothered, could get access to the private forum and find out for themselves. If you think I'm being out of order by saying this, you know my name, my website and my number. Call me and we can discuss it further or pop down and I'll make you a coffee.

The Consumer marketplace runs on confidence. Take it away or reduce it and there will be a drop. Brexit isnt helping. the last financial issue 10 years ago hasnt been properly sorted out yet, however most on here have done well in that time. Dont panic (yet). I think its DH who says if its quiet, look at what you're doing first. Because you are the only one who can change it.

Brisk from Auto Smart is a 98% fix we find . We run it through a wet vac with hot water , BUT ; Stubborn stains i spray Brisk on the seat nearly Neat then apply steam while rubbing with a Brush or use the steamers own brush if its part of the kit , we have a high pressure steamer , while its still boiling hot wet Vac it out , works a treat . As Casper says steam on the head lining brings it up like new .
