Second shout for george parts are also ten pence of the shelf, mine feels like triggers broom had so many bits replaced but its still the original machine. Takes a right beating as well the poor thing.

problem with all these machines is if the interior has had the interior fabric protection they cant pull the dirt out,its very annoying i use poundlands foam on the seats after wetting them and walking away from the car for a few minutes im sure other foam cleaners are available but i just pick a few cans up if i ever go into the nearest town as i know they have them had my machine years cant remember the make,i dont abuse it and only use it in wet mode,ie the interior gets hoovered properly before it sees my valeter

I’ve always said I’d love to look out at lots of fancy Bmw, mercs and Audi’s but sadly it’s the cheaper more run of the mill stuff that makes the margins for us!

Karcher is my advice, costs a bit more if bought new but you can replace any part cheaply and easily when required.

Eh? You paid £18,800 and had a gross margin in of £700 at £19,500. By the time you allow for a bit of VAT (at the price point you’re selling at it won’t be long before you hit the threshold) and allowing a bit for advertising and small overheads you’ll nett £300-£500, on a £19k car. Even the vendor is making more than that. Ridiculous. People aren’t going to buy a £19k Audi from a door stepper when they only have a couple of cars in stock, when they can go to the MD, get given a cup of expensive coffee and some smoke blown up their arse for a few hundred quid more. Three weeks isn’t a long time. I said the same on another thread yesterday to someone panicking about having a car in stock for a couple of weeks and no enquiries. I don’t know what books you’ve been reading or who’s advice you’ve been following but trying to sell £19k Audi’s from home on a part time basis, with a £700 gross margin in, is a waste of time. Your expectations of what you can sell at with your current set up are unrealistic. To build yourself up, sell £5k cars and do 5-6 of them a month with a £1k gross margin in. You ought to be doing more margin really given your low overheads.

How strange, I would have thought it would have flown out of the door. Good car to sell from the door

cant beat a numatic george for value and ease of use, about £220 new, you'll get 3 years hard use out of one of these with no agro.

All very funny but what are the ramifications for the testing station.Advisories are in the public domain, how would VOSA view it.If the customer was offended, some lawyer might agree and claim damages from the testing station ( not the tester) .....An alternative view !
