How to negotiate a vehicle in a car dealership?

Recommended Posts

Just walk in and slap your cock down on the first desk you see and loudly announce you’ll be taking a car off their hands today.  Works a treat.

I am new to car buying. How can somebody negotiate/haggle the price of a car at a dealership? Is there documents one can take?

Yes, one should always remember their gay card.

I’m unsure if you’re talking about nearly new, older or what type of car but:

Be polite and friendly. Don't be an arse or play hard ball.

Don’t think that offering a ‘cash deal mate’ will be of any interest.

The best deal for the dealer (and therefore maybe your best deal) will often be if you do have a part exchange, are realistic about its value, and are looking to at least consider their finance deals and service add ons.

There might not be as much in the car for the dealer as you think, so bear that in mind.

Call up and ask if its still for sale. As soon as they say yes quietly whisper ' last price'.

When they say a price just say 'have you got any more same car in stock'

This shows you are serious.

Dominate the dealership and be the Alpha.  Talk loudly and interrupt any sales person every time they try to talk.

Ask questions and when they answer ask again to catch them out.The slightest hesitation you have rumbled the phoneys.

best negotiation i can recomend is to always end every sentence with MATE

and finally most dudes ask  "whats yer best price mate" this is no good at all, better results will be  had with "whats yer best last price Mate"

let us know how you get on

Don't bother with documents just take your phone to do a bank transfer for the asking price, that way you will get a good car and good service.

No one mentioned to him the golden oldie sentence that always always works:

"Europcar, Hertz and Sixt get their cars for half of the manufacturer's list price. Can you match me that deal please and I'll pay today."
