if you remember i posted about a letter i received from the dvla regarding removal of trade plates and a criminal record possibility to anyone found abusing the new keeper slip system on dd] hell this is supposed to help us weed out kerbside traders

i would suggest you were taking away the consumers rights with that statement my invoice says you are committing to purchasing a second hand vehicle and have been taken on a test drive been shown the pdi and any points that need attention have been discussed ie bad paint ,squeak from parcel shelf etc etc and duly noted at the foot of the invoice in a dedicated section for any remedial work i then get them to sign as an adult that this is a legal binding contract on both sides its not rocket science but you need to keep it legal

why would you want to buy a Citroen C1 Grade 5 with 90K on the clock ? they usually require rear brake pipes tyres clutch paintwork oil and filter minimu,m usually pads and or discs too and at that mileage even though its a good car its still a lot for an unseen wizz 3 pot

bradford car auctions sundays ,the fresh new mot was always available out of the boot of the first car parked on the road the tractor bought most cars as the auctioneer preferred to use this rather than the shiny wall i never got beat up or mugged but did manage to sell all my lemons in there including one particular car that would only steer left must be 30 years ago mind

if car paperwork not done at p/x time then sometimes the car is still registered to previous owner and wedding confetti might have been made of his log book, maybe they didnt like him so are hoping he gets fined or mandy in accounts forgot to do it online what with needing her toenails clipping and all..................... anyway in such an event you can wait up to 6 weeks for the log book to come,i had one last week but the customer patiently waited for it as the car was for his newly passed driving test son

the heater matrix might have bust of course? if its constantly being used for valeting jobs then he will obviously be getting in and out with wet feet etc so maybe he is the creater of his problem sometimes as said if he has done a deep cleanse as these valeters or detailers as they like to call themselves do, they always use far far too much water sorry cant help if i had to i would request the car for the day to investigate but on terms of being helpful rather than anything else the MID bight be a herring so be careful

and i thought i was in the wrong job if you dont want to deal with someone then dont
-
i bet you can if the odds stack up to him one word greed

me too ive seen everything over the years pop rivets plaster of paris sundays supplement never mind brakes that havent been checked since 1975 and what about things liike seized trunnions, these werent changed until the mot man failed them so they arent going to be greased by the majority of people running these old death boxes to get cheaper insurance now
-
the more you touch the more to go wrong i find so if it aint broke dont fix it i always check engine over mind and if a service item looks like it is old to the point of possible failure / faulty /or about to push up the daisies then i change i always remove all wheels clean and adjust brakes i know this sounds overkill but its piece of mind for something that might never have been done before i also change oil and filter so i know its not going to go bang in foreseable future

Do anyone you run a car/van hire along side?
It's me replied to D7neo's topic in General Dealer Chat
most customers aren't even interested in being shown under the bonnet at handeover time so why would i want to hire in this day and age unless i wanted an aneurysm im well out and i dabbled 30 years ago
