-
reminds me i bought a marina van and it needed a gearbox the whole underside had a crust of cow muck hardened to everything that fell off in lumps as the bolts were undone still gives me a shudder thinking about it probably why i steer clear of cars farmers like and use
-
just remembered they have the trade parts club oil was always good value from them
-
thats foolish those coilpacks clip direct onto the plug and over time if not serviced as they never are the whole lot goes green and causes all sorts of problems, its not unknown for there to be water in there too that cant escape after a quick blast with a power washer sometime plugs for these should be cheap ,if you are dealing in these dustbins regularly you should be bulk purchasing sundries like a box of plugs but more importantly you should have the oil and filter changed on everyone before you let it out as this is the undoing of these engines 20 litres from a factor should be about £45 with filters coming in at £4 each

it was better in the old days when they put their fingers in the oil tube on stuff like fiestas as they were running and watched as it nearly ate their fingers -
whats done plugs and coil pack? a kick up its bum some silicone spray down the plug leads or has a full scan been carried out to ascertain time revs coldness of engine etc to nail down the reason the eml came on remember i said a maf can cause your problem it could still be the raison d'etre just sayin............. you need to be 100% sure you nail this before returning car because if it comes on again they may be thinking of rejecting a faulty car
-
i don't recall giving a value
-
it will most likely be the maf beware hong kon fluey readers wont always show this and no live data wont help also be aware copies off ebay are very hit n miss new ones bout 90 notes from a decent factor keep the old one if im right because often you put it onto another cor sa and they ran fine vauxhall.pah...........

that disclaimer is a sales negative and will ostracise some customers why not just have an insurance form so an accompanied drive and as you fill it in ask and will you be buying today if they say no use an excuse like answering your phone and say milton is also coming to view the same car in 20 minutes so unfortunately a drive wont be possible but will be tomorrow keep in charge its your business after all i know a pitch man who used to have a squirty bottle of engine oil to put under metros in the block when they were hot (good sellers) -
hi mat i really like your business but warn that every business has its day and specialising can easily turn into a bummer if sales for your preferred market stop as they always do eventually please dont see my post as negative as it might just be a blip but i dont see as many minis on the road as i used to

not for me im a motor trader not a garage looking to find a fault if i put whatever the cap is designed to blow off at on a lot of cars you know as well as me that its more likely you will blow the radiator think hyundai aygo micra if i think there might be a problem i will then get out my sykes pickyour nose tool hell most traders wont even know what a mitivac is
-
ive said it before but will say it again i wont do pressure checks purely because a lot of cars at 15 psi might just blow the radiator i prefer check level go for mot let them run it to very hot before they stick that sticky thing up its bum, make sure system doesnt go into meltdown recheck level back at base once everything cool tick my pdi ,satisfied all system good

to summarise (no popcorn was harmed in the making of this post) if its confirmed h/g popped its cherry you need to pay to have car returned pay garage if necessary refund customer with no deductions decide what you are going to do with the paperweight because depending which crap engine is fitted most of them have metal gaskets that once compromised also end up with a badly warped head that most reconditioners wont touch note to yourself that vauvhall was sold to the surrender monkeys for a reason

wow just been googling this mileage blocker thing and see they can be bought direct from china from £21.37 just wow
