Welcome on board ! to know more you'd have to put web address - with that it shows Tel No & possibly email ..so might as well post full details ! I Think it builds trust and get to know who's who / type of business / location etc and it could be that you have a car that I have a customer for or other way and at least if we know about each other without having to do a google 'research' its makes ir easy for us all ! Only my thoughts

Agree Gavin, Some have hidden agenda as you say and twist turn things ! I am who I am so nothing to hide and say what I think/Feel is best for me and my business or things which may help others ! #simples

Think I've suggested this before but can't remember .. must be the grey matter ! Its not always easy to know who's who but let me pick on one person David Bilsborough as an example ( Hope you don't mind David ) David comments on a thread , if I want to know more about him I click on his name but it doesn't tell me anything more about him ? Website , location , tel No , email , twitter etc etc Would it not be useful if next to the name it showed this ? Nick , 'own car' , if the car is not in your 'stock' then you can't , If you do claim it then the revenue will need to be informed as its 'benefit' - Probably not worth the hassle. ?

Had one couple of years ago , It was only 12 Months old with very low mileage - didn't fly out straight away , but profitable deal - would buy again ! Good luck if you go with it.

Thanks guys , All feedback appreciated ! Totally agree with you .. The user needs a reason to download the 'app and use it' ! That was my argument with the app provider and told them the reasons why I don't think it will work for my business , but like all these 'sellers' they only see their it form their eye's although its flawed !

This job is strange , Started the month great .. then almost to a stop then #BOOM ! Best month in 10 Years ! Over the moon well chuffed ! Just hope the momentum carries on ..Ah well into May now .. start all over again !

The ' car' is the important bit and we only have a few seconds to get the attention if the car stands out ... then buyers will look further ! Every day we hear of another big dealer group buying up another business or investing millions building new sites for franchises , i.e Marshalls, Ridgeway , Swansway to name a few spending anything between £5/10 million on JLR sites ! What are your thoughts when you see these massive investments in the motor trade, especially when you hear of how little margins are left on new cars when customers are buying from the likes of carwow ? Plus the pressure to perform every quarterly with targets and pre-registrations , how /when does it become viable to invest these vast amounts ? Your thoughts ?

As I've said numerous times If it works and it ROI Then you have to pay the AT bills and keep selling , when it doesn't work and you're simply 'on there' because you think you're missing out - time to pull the plug. ! So pleased its working for you !, thanks for sharing your insights ! Its that 'Catch; Do I ? Don't I ... Its the unknown ! !

Yeap ! They're all out there ... but you never can judge , over the years the odd few I thought were tyre kickers /waters ended up buying from me , one perticular guy similar to James's story , a regular did virtually the same to me , not always easy as you think ' here we go again ..get the keys , show em the car...' !! If we didn't have these type of people we'd think the job was too easy ... wouldn't we

Jim , start up or 'old boys/girls' sometimes its good to talk to each other and surprising what comes out of it ! And in reality I think most of us are shy of asking for help or embarrassed to ask - when in reality people do genuinely want to help ! .. as they say ' Just Ask ' ! Well done for posting it on here too - opens it up to others not on TCD.

Think different dealers do well different mileage cars - I used to do quite well many years ago with 70/80k cars - but when I started to go for the low/ very low mileage cars I started to struggle with higher mileage cars , its what you get known for ! I know some dealers who tell me they cannot sell low mileage cars , I guess its because No1 - they don't see value themselves so unable to sell it and 2- customers maybe don't look there if majority are higher mileage cars !

All valuations don't make sense ! Peugeot 3008 this morning as i Tweeted ! MASSIVE Variance in Price #Peugeot #3008 GG £9260 cap £7850 AT £6675 Who's right ? wrong ? OR Are they all RIGHT .... And the retail is £10,000 - all showing the variance in margins .. I look forward to your comments !

Sparky ! learning everyday .. Estate agents .. the buyers journey may well start with the local paper - then digital , like some of my customers - spotted a car in the paper - then checked my website - then bought..he says ..:) , ! Is it not strange how all of us get the 'Car Dealer Magazine' on line ..but majority love to actually get the one in the post so that we can read/digest things better .. or is that just my age thing sitting at home flicking pages ? Think in reality we have to be EVERYWHERE .. Online, paper , poster boards, buses, radio , ...but all down to ROI -AND deep pockets
