    Incorrect ! Original plates need to be covered - the coppers are wrong they DO NOT UNDERSTAND the trade plate law ! Look up trade plate use on DVLA Site .. ( Have a feeling this topic was covered on here a wee while ago )

    Max , Agree with moving stock around , sold cars so many times .. people driving past have said , " not seen that before ,I Spotted it driving past " if ONLY they had looked . its bizarre ., I guess a bit of both - they think its fresh as its in a new place or they have just come into the market ! whatever the reason I believe moving them around works !

    9 days is AWESOME ! With me its mixed like Max says sometimes its hours ! Nice when that happens , days ..then months , I don't panic if it it sits a few months and I know the car is right - I'll hold out for profit instead of churning it just for the sake of it and then not being able to replace it with nice, profitable stock. Everyone has 'their' own way and suits their business.

    Thanks guys ! the LR Products are getting expensive and bits rare , lot have them in the club all saying diffs scarce, drive shafts etc hence avoiding them ! Will onyl a few hundred £££ ! I'm not serious as some of the guys Do my own spanners but don't really have time [ or inclination ] to start doing major rebuilds hence a 'cheap' fun toy

    This forum is getting far too serious … SO who can help me -? Looking for a CHEAP 4X4 – offroad – FUN thing to play about with – Few hundred quid small ( SWB) I.e Jimny , Rav 4, Mitsubishi etc etc Currently using a friends old modified Land Rover which I modified a bit more couple of weeks ago , All FUN !     Workshop Heating I Know before you all tell me it summer ! Need to sort out heating the workshop I've recently acquired, it has a waste oil heater which I cannot use anymore due to environmental issues [ Have to pay £3500 per annum if I wish to continue using it ] what does everyone else use ? don't have gas , Just ordered new uniform for them told them I'd get extras fleece's but they don't like that idea. Any help /suggestions appreciated. Thanks Umesh

    As you it's only polite / courtesy to respond to these emails ..... and some do produce results ! 'Step Ladder' ! Funny you mention that , a guy with a pitch next door to me saw me a few weeks ago on the step ladder .. and shouted ' " I'd never have thought of doing that ..That's how you do it .. I like that , I may copy you..." Video's SELL CARS .. I can't say that enough , do them - don't DO SILENT Movies , you need to TELL them about the car , not too long - keep the interest ..

Kind Regards Umesh So this is the update as it happens today. 13.22 He calls to ask if the Peugeot is still available. 14.20 Arrives looks all-round the car which is in the showroom and says "I'm the man who sent you that email , Its tidy" "I said it's so nice it's in the showroom and not just outside" "Can I take it for a test drive ?" he says I said "so you like the car ? " "Yes , very much " he replies "I said should we discuss the price before I get out of the showroom ?" Now I'd got in my mind I'd discount it by £250 to do a deal , so I thought I'd ask the question " What deal are you looking for so we both know where we are at " He said " I want 12 Months MOT ( MOT Jan 2017) , and 12 Months tax (180) on any car that I buy so I need to build that into the price " I replied " if you give me the asking price of £5000 and you're happy with the way it drives , do we have a deal ?" He umered and rrredd was lookin for a better deal than that .. I said just look at the car , you're getting everything you want .. " Yes " quick drive and literally quick drive ( Him & his wife on their own ) Back in let me give you a deposit - see you next Saturday ! Result !! 14.35 Gone ! Taken me longer to type this He did tell me of 'some of the cheaper ones' he'd seen after giving me the deposit and how bad they were !

    Top and bottom of it .. 'LOT ' of the dealers putting the cars in the auctions know there is an issue, I don't buy anything from Auctions [ Especially when I read these horror stories anyway] a read either here or another forum where a car was put in DA by a group - but when you look at the group's website they retail similar price/type of cars, so that car must have an issue if they won't retail it - however no mention of issues when its put through the sale [ they think they are clever !] Was talking to a trader last week ,1st I met him he called into the showroom was telling me about two Merc's he'd bought from the main dealer . when he told me the dealer and the 2 cars , I said I would be suspicious as they normally retail those cars, and I thought they now have an auction policy too... Yes you've guessed it one of them he was told had a 'wheel bearing' noise circa £100 , Needs a diff ! He thinks thats going to cost £700/800.. second car .. drives perfectly.. Only thing is on ' cold' start up the engine rattles for ' quite' a while ..... the dealerships answer " we were not aware of any issues ", both cars supplied /serviced by the dealer " .. the trader said " Thought I was in luck getting into this dealer and buying GOOD stock " Think the dealer was thinking I'll stitch him him while he's trying to get in here " Very sad but too many dealers / traders trying to screw others over !

    GG I've been ignoring those numbers for quite a long time ... when iControl ( when I tried it - didn't sign up) tells me to retail a car at £9000 AND my gut feeling says that under valued - advertise for £4k MORE - Sells within a week and could have sold a few times over , this has happened not just once a few times ...! Oh NO ! - No Bus again GG ! .. I know soon 3 will arrive at once !
