  1. Happy days. Jeez, used to sell bucket loads of those things. The 600 in particular was a mighty fine car. If I had a pound for every Rover window regulator I've changed. Shame the pheonix four got away with it. I'm a believer in 'what goes around' but sadly that has not been the case with those currupt *****.
  2. This is all really ridiculous, next the tree huggers will be blaming asthmatics for us being able to wear a pair of speedos on Xmas day. Oh wait a minute....https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-50215011
  3. We've been here before, some of the same people are doing the same moaning but it's all talk, all this will blow over until the next part of the 'customer journey' gets introduced and then we go again, and again.
  4. Indeed. I'll see your irony and raise you with a huge amount of hypocrisy
  5. I often have this conversation with the lads from your neck of the woods, Nelson Transport. Not that I'm complaining, but £150 plus VAT for Kinross to N Wales seems good value to me. Also, had some containers dropped off recently and their new wagon with hiab saw little change from £250k Anyway, got to love these types of threads, it's not irony but can't think of the word I'm looking for.
  6. Jesus. How did such a decent thread turn into one of those willy waving ones? Sigh. Still strong with diesel as my customers really have no other options if they want low running costs.
  7. Just had a look at this and it does seem a bit odd. I'm sure someone in Eastern Europe or Somalia will find a good home for it.
  8. This. And for that reason, for what it's worth I'll be offering some advice when I have more time.
  9. More than worthy, just be careful what you post in there. You may think it's private, but sadly said forum has what can only be described as a grass lurking around. It's private, but not as we know it captain.
  10. Very much this. Survival of the fittest, which can't be a bad thing.
  11. It would be easier to tell you the cars I buy rather than the cars I avoid.
  12. I never got breaking bad, but love a bit of narcos. El Chapo another great watch along the same lines ( excuse the pun) of narcos. When they see us, be prepared to get angry, really angry.
  13. Love a bit of netflix. Currently watching Mindhunter which is outstanding. Also, if anyone has missed When they see us on Netflix then get it on. It's the best TV I've ever seen, and I watch a lot.
  14. I'll only comment once I know what the winner gets.
  15. I'm off on holiday tomorrow. Much to the annoyance of Mrs S I always take the laptop and manage to buy a couple. I shan't be bothering these year and will wait a while while Uncle Tom Coberly and all blow their brains out. Problem is, that means I might have to talk to the missus for a week!
  16. So that is your car that the OP has bought by mistake. Would you expect him to honour it? Would you be expect BCA to honour it? Of course you would. There are pros and cons of internet buying, if you can't deal with the cons then best not bother.
  17. I can't believe what I'm reading here. I feel for the OP, I really do. But ffs, man up. You bid, you bought it, now pay up. Learn from it and move on.
  18. Don't get me started on modern coaching and sports science. The ball only cares where Smith's his bat is, the ball only cares where Furyk's club is, why the director of football at my football club knows the cubic capacity of a jam jar, but he can't the fecking lid off! A bit like selling cars, it's all rather too complicated for my liking.
  19. Double bogeyed the last which cost me a couple of quid, had a lovely Sunday roast although that was slightly spoilt afterwards by watching the cheating Aussies win The Ashes.
  20. Fair play to some of you for giving this chancer the time of day.
  21. I noticed it on DA. £7600, 55 bids, reserve not met and it's not on my watch list so no idea if it sold. Staggering really. Even more staggering though, how can anyone hate an orange or coffee revel?
  22. I must admit, I have a soft spot for Rover's and MG's and over the last 20 years have probably sold more of those than anything else, and they stopped selling 12 years ago. I've probably got a couple of old window mechs somewhere that fit this car
  23. Bag of revels to the winner. 2006 56 MG ZT 260 , 45k, one owner, fsh, proper thing. No cheating, just use the little grey cells and your gut, what do you think that's worth?
