My bad, I knew there was more to balloons than just selling cars. Thanks.
-
29", nothing in my wallet as I pay VAT.
-
Is there any explanation as to why at this time of year the interior of a car can appear to be dry and yet as soon as you pull a seat belt down it looks like stilton ? P.S I'm VAT registered, have my own premises and don't have any other part time career
-
Absolutely. Treat people how you would expect to be treated yourself. If I was said customer I'd think an offer of £42 was a **** take and wouldn't give me much confidence for further down the line.
-
Well said Jim. The straw had broke my back this morning and I was midway through a bit of a rant on this very subject until I got dragged off to do some proper work, by that time I had cooled down and probably for the best, you have put it far more eloquently than I could ever have done. Personally I think they have some bloody cheek asking for advice like butter wouldn't melt, if others want to help that's up to them, but leave me out of it.

Amen.

Become VAT registered and play by the same rules as the rest of us. Once you start paying VAT your really have something to moan about.

Motors basically has two packages. One get's you on a couple of extra platforms, for a bit extra you go on Parkers, Carfused and Tomdickandharry.com. I've gone for the full hit package but it certainly wasn't an extra £30 a week.
-
Bin it before you get too deep, and never touch anything with that engine in it ever again would be my advice.
-
Extra £30 a week? I take it that's for Parkers, Carfused etc on the full hit package?

Cheers guys. Bought the car for cap clean which was 17k. My man is made up, even more so that it has a pan roof. Right, time to go and concentrate on the more bread and butter cars of the world after my dabble into the prestige pool.

I don't like doing this, but I owe a mate a favour after having some building work done. We are after a MERCEDES-BENZ SLK 250 2.1 CDI B/E AMG SPORT TIP Roadster and there a few going through BCA tomorrow. I don't know the first things about these cars seeing as they are not French so any advice on anything I need to be aware of would be appreciated. Also, I'm presuming that a 2013 with 15k on it last serviced at 7k by Merc would be covered by manufacturer's warranty? Thanks in advance.

And on another note, I switched to Autosmart last year and discovered midnight black which is a carpet dye. It has to be used with respect but it's a wonderful product, just a shame I didn't discover it years ago, it would have saved many man hours.

So, pricing up a tracked vehicle going through BCA today, I noticed a very similar vehicle being advertised on AT as due in. So, seeing as they offered live chat I'd thought I'd take them up on their kind offer. Well blow me down with a feather duster, it's the same car, which surprisingly 'Denise' couldn't give me much info on nor offer me a test drive on today. Now this isn't the first time this has happened and won't be the last, but what did take me by surprise was the dealer in question was a big hitting main agent ( nothing to do with the vendor) and this was a 2008 car. As Kammy might say, unbelievable Jeff, or should that be fraudulent Jeff????

28 day notice with AT has just been served. My financial year ended 30/10/15 and since then I've had a good start to the next financial year, including December which was a real bonus. Now over that period AT has paid for itself, but that's all it's done. Other business/leads has come from ebay, google, Zuto/247, walk ons, good old fashioned walk ons and since I've started to get the hang of FB, I've had a couple of deals off there (thanks Jim). I'll more than likely go back on Motors, which I know works as long as buying is disciplined, and in the process I'll be reducing my overheads from £2600 per month to £1100 (not including my own wages) which which will still include a nice fancy website, ebay and all the other platforms that Motors brings. That takes the pressure off when things go quiet and gives me chance to focus on quality and margin and not quantity and this silly red/green stuff which seems to be all the rage at the moment. If good quality stock with a decent margin in it suddenly becomes readily available (fat chance I know) then I may well have a change of heart, but for the time being I'm pretty confident that the world will not end when I part company with AT.

They do drive well. Just sold mine now, a nice cure for a hangover

In my early days I's think nothing of buying a V6 Vectra or Galaxy for example. Fast forward 10 years or so and it's like I've been brainwashed my some tree hugging cult. I now see a V6 as the food of the devil that can only be slayed by a 60mpg, £30 road tax eco warrior excuse of a car dressed in corduroy

Wow, that was one cheap Croma, I take it was petrol! I've sold four of them this year and think they are cracking value for money, and if they were good enough for Schumacher.... You have to have some oddball stuff, my latest being a Renault Koleos.
-
Yeah, yeah. And my backside plays the banjo. Unless of course, an engine shaking like a polaroid picture and smoking like Dot Branning does not constitute a 'know fault'.
-
I tend to agree, not much point to them unless you get some gossip out of them, or they happen to be female and very easy on the eye.
-
Find a new hobby would be my advice.

Very good. All off ebay?
