Adding to the above, they must also suffer from insomnia and high blood pressure, work more hours than a junior doctor and of course, have a drink problem.

With January around the corner, I'd be tempted to stick.

Just bought a car online from Manheim Colchester, any ideas how I can get it back? -
Whilst in the interests of balance, naming those that do the job properly as there are plenty of them on there.

Offer with a nice pair of Alan Partridge style leather driving gloves.

Nothing better than watching a bit of The Bill on a sunday morning.

What sort of money are you paying for newspapers if you don't mind me asking? I looked in to it recently and was amazed how much my local rag charges in this digital age.

Just a word of warning. If you are a Ltd Company and you are using a 'stock' car then that is seen by HMRC as a benefit in kind and liable for tax depending on the CO2s.

If you spoke to the head man at DA, pound to a penny he used the word 'facilitate' more than once and basically washed his hands of it. This has happened to me a couple of times so I now hardly use the site unless it's coming from a vendor I know and trust. I honestly don't know what you can do, there is obviously no POD form. Like many others including myself you have just learnt a hard lesson that there are a number of dealers on there who just can't be trusted and so apart from giving said dealer both barrels and them some, it's a case of taking it on the chin. It's not right but I can't see what else you can do. Good luck and I hope you get some positive news with this one.

Ford Bonnet locks. Cold calls. Running out of coffee on a monday morning. Having to ring the DVLA. Always being low on number '4's with my price signs. Even the '7's I've converted to '4's seem to vanish. This could be a long thread.....

Funny, I'll only buy a 1.6 TDCi Ford in the type of car. As long as they been serviced and you know what you are doing, happy days. Unlike the 1.8 TDCi Ford engine that has a wet belt. Oh dear, oh dear oh dear oh dear.

After reading these comments I thought I may as well reply to them and see what happens. It goes against my principles but when in Rome.

I seem to be getting countless leads from these guys at the moment, which is good going seeing as I've never had anything to do with them. Would I be right in thinking the boys and girls at cargurus are doing a liitle fishing to try and impress?

Renault's that have had speedo changes are a thing of the past for me, but if I do get one in and the customer pulls a funny face I'm going to quote this story if you don't mind

Did you get any joy with this? I've got one out of a renault that needs some TLC.

Indeed. I know it's Hollywood, but The Big Short is well worth viewing and pretty frightening to watch. Good job all those naughty bankers and financial big wigs have seen the error of the ways and have now found their moral compass.......

Don't talk to me about smeg. Mrs sparky has got her eye on one. A grand for a fridge makes auto trader look like good value.

Great thread. I've never seen anything like it. I remember in my early days having an Escort Finesse colour coded in white and I couldn't give it away, how times change. It's almost getting to the point where you could buy a car in underpants blue, respray or wrap it white and still have profit in it.

I was just about to set off to Belle Vue. Topless dancing girls you say......

Great post, if you know what I mean. After another poorly described car since my original post I no longer bother with the site and have now reset my password to hf64094r/']gkmq276 and asked chrome not to remember it, just in case I get tempted when I get desperate. Viva la pondlife!

To be fair, I think on the whole BCA grading is ok (although I do wish there was a tick box for odours) and I win a lot more than I lose so unless the car has a completely completely inaccurate description I don't bother them. On the odd occasion I have then the question is, does it changing the grading? On this occasion, if it changes from a grade 3 to 4 then you have a case, if not, hard cheese. I suppose it then goes to how well you know the particular branch and how much they value your business. I had a case recently for a car bought at Livingstone were items were missed but even after a regrade, it came back as the same grade which would have left a bad taste in the mouth but up there they clearly have morals and basic common sense and gave me £200 as a gesture of goodwill so it was all good. Sadly I can't see a branch as busy as what Bedford appears appears to be giving two hoots.

How quickly do you turn over your stock?
sparky replied to bestprice4cash's topic in General Dealer Chat
Space, and having too much of it is my achilles heel. As a result, I can have stuff sitting here for months. I'm convinced I'd be more pro active in turning stock over if I had less of it, although I'd draw a line at retailing back!
