I don't want to rain on your parade, and I hope it works for you, but after giving it a lot of thought and taking advice from my peers I made a similar move this time last year. Suffice to say I was back on AT by the following February. Now then, don't get me wrong, I reckon I could easily survive without AT, but at the end of the day it sells me more than two cars a month and therefore pays for itself giving me a ROI. As soon as the ends, like anything that stops working for you, it will be dropped. Good luck jamslug. P.S Has anyone had anything yet (even a tyre kicker) from RAC cars?

There is also a monthly audit fee with Next Gear if you have something on with them.

And let's face it, the Manheim Assured report covers very little. I only tend to buy from one Manheim branch now, and that's where one of the sales team will look around the car for me. It's not unusual for him to tell me to leave an 'assured' car alone. The BCA online experience, whilst not perfect, is head and shoulders above Manheim IMO.

Noticed there is a F430 going through Blackbushe today. Given as a grade 5 and on paper looks a bit of a shed. If it goes through for a tenth of it's book I might take a chance...

sparky replied to cvs's topic in General Dealer Chat
Just out of interest, I'd just like to ask cvs and Reggaj why they they are starting out in the used car market? -
But apart from that........

Oh well, at least we all have the Rugby World Cup semi finals to look forward to.......

Are you a limited company?

I took a Bravo in part ex a few months ago and it flew out. A car I never even would have considered buying. Obviously, next time I saw the same car in the same spec go through the auction I bought it, and then bought another one. Goes without saying that they are still here...... I am partial to a french seven seater. I wonder if Nicole has progressed to such beauty yet?

Sale of Goods Act 2015...Changes who's heard the news?
sparky replied to Trident's topic in General Dealer Chat
I guess that's the chance you take when selling that kind of stuff. Risk and reward and all that...... -
Just a thought: I wonder how many staples BCA go through?
sparky replied to jamslug's topic in General Dealer Chat
Staples and Pritt Stick, it's the future. -
Not so much a lesson ( I wish I had of had lessons rather than learn the hard way) but a phrase that has always stuck with me from one of my peers in the early days, 'shy men make no dough'.

And just waste the rest..... Shameless plug and apologies for doing so, but if this works I'll be making my 'guide' donation to a friend's just giving group. https://www.facebook.com/avaswalkingwish?fref=ts If anyone is unsure what to so with theirs or has anything lying around the office that they may wish to throw in to a charity golf day and all that goes with it that we are holding in a week then feel welcome to give me a shout. Cheers.

I think the problem is in the Grand Picasso the turbo is having to work a lot harder than it does in say a 208. That and poor servicing including not replacing the injector seals is the main reason for their failure. If an engine blew 4 turbos in as many months then something doesn't stack up there. My guess would be that the whole job including replacing pick up pipes, filters etc hasn't been done right or the turbo is a Eurocarparts special

I had the same car two months ago. Well it was actually an 08 Breeze 'plus' with 55 on it, history, in black. Took it in part ex so it owed me the right money. It flew out of the door at £3995.

I've done well out of the big C4, sadly I've had enough of them now. They are made of glass and for me are no longer worth the hassle, especially with the new SOGA coming out, I've got zero faith in them. I've never had much of issue with the CDTI120 BHP Zafira. As for the petrol, whilst customers are a pain in the arse, nobody is that bad that they deserve to buy a 1.6 Zafira.

Like many, I don't get excited until I have a request for an invoice, then we are in business. What a success story they are though. When I first dealt with them as carloans4u it felt like I was dealing with a company based in old portakabin and now they are major players, rich major players at that. Hats off to the guys that started this very simple concept. Jealous? Not much.

Your not wrong. I'm lost for words at what some stuff makes on there. Then if you do actually manage to finish as the highest bidder with a sensible bid they always come back wanting more. Frustrating to say the least.

I caught some of it whilst in the kitchen chopping onions. I soon turned over to see how once fellow brother Max Branning was getting on. Surely he is going to be cleared.

It's another one of those fishing threads. Basically, is AA cars any good for the money?

The new deal is with Motonovo, the old one was with another company.

I have indeed. The words wall and head spring to mind.....

According to the customer and the 'advice' they have taken, the car is a lemon and clearly has not been serviced properly despite evidence to the contrary. I'd be more than happy to fix and offer a sweetener but that is not going to be accepted, and to be honest after what has been said I'm more than happy to refund, have the car back, deal again and not have this customer on my database. Problem is, when they take the car back at cost and take it back on a new hp agreement they will be on my database and I'll have the liabilities that come with it, despite their assurances that this would not happen. Just what you need on a Monday Morning.

Customer picks up car last week after and unfortunately the EML has come on over the weekend and it requires an EGR valve. Customer not happy and wants to cancel the deal and take their old car back. No problem, that can and will be done. However, their is some finance involved. The new car is now on with Motonovo and the finance on the part ex to X has been settled by myself. Motonovo are happy to for me to refund the difference to them and they refinance the customer for what they originally owed on the part ex. However, in effect I would be selling their part ex back to them on finance and as a result would be liable for that car under the SOGA, which obviously I don't want despite the customer giving me assurances this would not happen. The only options I can think of here is that either Motonovo finance the car as a personal loan or I get something drawn up top say I'm not liable under the SOGA for the part ex. As ever, any other thoughts appreciated.
