How you getting on without AT, in particular, how's Motors working for you?
-
I'm guessing you had no balloons attached to it.

I'm quite happy stocking the 1.6 petrol or 1.7 diesel as long as they have a bit of spec to them. Sold a 10 plate design petrol with 65k on it last month for £3500, a value car if ever there was and like the others I've sold this year, the margin on it was decent.
-
Just been the underbidder on one today. If I could, I'd still buy one, it would have to be diesel though.
-
Even if they paid me I wouldn't want my stock on there. Cargurus my arse.
-
Wise man. It's all about the balloons.

According to DA, the vendor is a local Kia agent.

So I'm looking on Dealer Auction and come across something of interest ending today and then go on to price it up as we do. Would you adam and eve it, the very same car is advertised by an independent on a well know site. Nothing new there except in this case it's not just advertised as 'due in' or with one photo, but the cheeky bar steward is advertising it as a normal stock car and has uploaded all ten photos including V5 and history like butter wouldn't melt. Now I'm not a grass but I don't think folk should be allowed to get away with this. Currently thinking of getting approved with Zuto for this car, arranging to come up tomorrow to collect and then actually outbidding the dealer on DA today, or is that too drastic?

Agreed. That's because apart from the 1.8 they are all essentially Peugeot diesel engines. You won't go wrong with a well maintained 1.5 Dci. I've been told to stay away from the 1.4 VW engine, apart from that, they sound worse than my missus on the karaoke machine after too much wine.
-
That might be difficult as they would be skinny jeans with rips in them. Personally I'd have set fire to his adolescent beard and left him to think about it.....
-
The best small engine diesel out there IMO is the Renault 1.5 DCi unit. If I was in your position Edward that's what I would be buying, all day long.
-
Looks like it's a Fiesta then
-
Any Fiat or Vauxhall with that engine is on my ' don't touch it with a bargepole' list. That said, with only 22k you'd have thought you've got half a chance of it being OK.

Thanks for the PDF David. Is the author still in the business? I couldn't find anything after a quick search on google.
-
Straightforward? Well, if I can do it....... £20 set up fee. Not had a bill yet but I'm expecting it to half my previous merchant services bill which usually circa £300.

I've started to look at the Qashqai (diesel) but they do seem an awful lot of money for what they are. Interesting (and this doesn't happen very often), according to i control North Wales should be the home of the Qashqai, gaining more stars than Nigella's Xmas Pudding.

I've just joined a company called Paytek. I'm still with Barclays Merchant Services but I've a new machine and merchant number. Everything stays the same apart from the monthly bill which now comes from Paytek. Worth a look at.

I switched to click dealer this year (you wouldn't believe who recommended them to me) and I've no real complaints. I'd happily recommend them.

Sounds like we have the same customer base!

Don't take this the wrong way Umesh, but I thought you had been around longer than that I remember during my first year doing a back trade on one of your old cars, a lovely 89F Audi Coupe in white. Needless to say it became my smoker, after all, the ladies do love a white Audi..... Anyway, happy birthday to Rose Motors, a year of selling cars without balloons is a huge achievement, next you will be telling us you never have your hatches open!

Mine are starting to pile up on death row. I may need to start look at doing something like this. Could I be cheeky and ask you to send me a link to one of your ebay adverts please? I do sell a few in Copart. Their fees are not too bad and they collect as well. Anything a bit different and diesel seem to do well in there.

Imperative the the vehicle is not only prepped to the hills and back but that the customer signs a PDI to say it is too.
