  1. red/green stuff which seems to be all the rage at the moment. What did you mean by this ?
  2. how many cars do you want to stock ? will depend on how many staff you need if your average buy is 4k thats 30 cars for your 120k , you will need a minimum of 2 people helping you and all of the above listed
  3. well first thing you should do is take the car and take the photos again outside the 16th century mansion, i used to take mine outside a castle up the road and always looked great your car looks well in the add you have and looks a decent spec .. and its white, good luck with the sale
  4. no thats not much experience, keep going even if your not buying so to get the hang of things watch the people as well as the cars watch what they do outside more than inside You would also be better cutting your teeth on cheeper cars i think and you could have 2 cars more likley to sell and keep you intrested also do your research well before the auction the problem you may have with the car you have chosen is there are some real good finance deals, PCP and lease deals on the newer stuff in that range how much profit you looking to make out of intrest give us a breakdown of what you have paid also what got you inrested ? was it that TV show ? :)
  5. how many auctions have you been to and whats your experience ? i've sold cars within hours for large profit and i've had cars for months for tiny profit ..or none, you cant say how long it will take to sell it, if it overpriced you may never sell it
  6. Ive delt with dealers who wouldent knock a penny off but were happy to do a £200 repair .. swings and roundabouts i guess
  7. no no final fee because people cant buy it online .. meaning theres no buy it now option
  8. I suppose people are less confident buying 2k cars than they are spending 20k i have 400 positive feedback but only a couple of them are for cars
  9. stick it on with you phone number , nobody in there rite mind will buy the car 11k without seeing it, thats your chance to sell and remove the advert
  10. Yeah Mate im from Eston .. things are going to get tough round here just been 2000 job losses at British Steel and another 1000 at air probucts..im off to live in Blackpool in a couple of months ive stood at the auctions a few times with my brother shaking his head while im bidding on some oddball stuff... chevrolet stuff drops in price quicker than a seven series BMW .. got to be value for money though right ?
  11. you could always set up a separate ebay account and start them for a quid stating no returns trade sale ect but be prepared for threats of bad feedback
  12. few years ago i used to go to a dealer who would have 4 or 5 cars and id give him a price for a job lot , he was happy to get rid of 5 to a trader and i was happy for 5 cheap cars for my stock be ready to sell cheap or no profit if you want the easy life to concentrate on the better stuff
  13. The last couple of corsas i bought, i ended up selling to a guy miles away who only sold corsas and nothing else, he had about 15 i like the oddball stuff as well , remember seeing a fiat multipla come through leeds, i said to my brother "who would buy these ?" i ended up buying it because it just seemed so cheep, first day on ebay i had three people at the door for it, two turned up together and were arguing over it, i got full asking price and made about £500 Im liking the looks of the fiat 500s they are dropping in price now and seem to be the in car for the essex girl wanabe i have always done all good with minis and beetles i still like
  14. What make you smile when you see it in the catalog, I mean whats the couple of your favorite buys ( or easy sells ) or you hope is out there ...and things you just skip over For me Its bmw E46s (2000 to 2005 models) coupes or saloons the bigger the engine the better, I think the cars pretty timeless and always sells easy up my way.. and the others a Citron Picasso totally difrent cars but i like both Things i skip over ..vauxhall corsas of any description and any Peugeot unless the roof folds down
  15. staff are good in Washington as well, Leeds can be a bit hit and miss i think Is there a system in place like the more you spend the better rates you get ? ( anyone know?) i only buy about 20 a year at the moment but im sure i herd a guy at Leeds saying they were paying for a golf trip for him but he spent 2 mill last year or something think my account cost £60 about ten years ago but you save more than that on your first car so not to bad the whole idea of buying 12 cars before becoming a trader is pathetic.. id be giving at least a £100 more than the next man.. for that reason il never try until it changes
