  1. One for our friends at Lawgistics to help with here...
  2. So, who the hell is buying all this overpriced Tat? Someone somewhere must have a few acres full of metal that they are all upside down on?
  3. Met with the IGA on Friday, they'll be doing full piece for us in the mag soon and some sessions at Cdx, specifically aimed at the retail trade, to help us buy and understand what the changes mean
  4. Trying to source a family diesel up to about £1500 for a friend, save heading down the lanes, anyone got any PX's come in that they need shifting and can't retail? Thinking Focus or similar.....
  5. we we're busy drinking in the festive spirit... all removed now !
  6. its when it goes through the lanes and they forgot to take out the removable towing eye......
  7. Yes, but you haven't answered the question, do you still have the......
  8. Whilst we encourage debate and honest opinion on all our forums. We won't accept generalised racism or bigoted comments. I've had to delete some of the comments from this thread for this reason. You are all of course entitled to your views on the world, but we will not accept any comments that are generalisations of race. Please remember, there are many users of this forum from all parts of the world and we should be embracing dealers who do a proper job and help reinforce our industry. Those that are disreputable come from all walks of life, all colours and all countries.
  9. just bringing in my 4th....... The money isn't there that used to be, but some specialist kit might be worth it. Bare in mind, your cash is locked into the motor for at least 3 months when you consider shipping and getting it registered.... only worth it for a decent profit !
  10. This thread has subsequently been reported to us by Louise999 and asked us to remove it. I can see no reason why the thread should be removed, unless we don't want our members to know its a scam website.
  11. You're not alone, i'm hearing a number of dealers who are seeing very quiet lots at present. I don't think the upcoming referendum is going to help.
  12. We've now received all the submissions from various parties to deliver workshops to you all at CDX16. We'll be deciding over the next few days which ones will fly and which are just thinly veiled sales pitches. All our workshops are aimed at informing and educating the delegates, so we'll be making sure these aren't the standard sales pitches you see elsewhere. We want people to take something away from each of these workshops that they can put into place in their business, the next day. I'd like to hear from you on what are the hot topics you would like covered, not what companies you want to hear from, rather what do you want to know more about, get more information on or hear specialists talk about. Things like; Staff retention, Finance and compliance, Improving your website, stock turnaround, marketing et.... we have 25 excellent submissions, so i'd like to hear from you on what would make it worth you coming along.. Andy
  13. Max The gents are correct, as you are selling the vehicle this way it will be subject to distance selling. The recent changes to Consumer rights also strengthen their rights. There may be some genuine people, particularly if it is a rare car or specific test, but if not i would ask why they are doing it this way. I assume you will be adding a non refundable delivery charge, the only problem is if the car car does go wrong youw ill end up paying to get it back !
  14. One piece of advice TCE is to start with a bigger pot than just the £100 or £200. At some point you will sadly end up with a deal where you will probably need to take the car back or at the very least spend out on a not insignificant repair, always make sure you have enough available to be able to do this
  15. Do you guys use it classified or do you try auctions to get rid of cheapies?
  16. Its unlikely any dealer will be happy to hand over stock to someone they don; know. I would say that if the car was at a retail standard the dealer will be looking to sell it themselves. Dealers trade vehicles on for s reason, cashflow and ease normally. Unless you have a strong relationship i'd be surprised if anyone will be prepared to hand cars over, especially if profit is to be made. I could be wrong and best of luck, best place to start i=s by chatting to the dealers in question
  17. Yep, Dual mass flywheels don't apply to Auto's.... EGR and sensors on the other hand....
  18. i've heard a few dealers witholding a small amount on the PX until they get the v5 back, too many customers not sending in the v5 once the plate change has gone through...
  19. was only a matter of time sadly, sale of WBAC lined the pockets of those that use to run the group, i think they lost interest after that
  20. 800 like minded people going to be there with us ( we'll look after your guys, promise :-) ) 75 at the Blackhorse pre event too
