  1. Ahh, politics eh, well, always a difficult subject, and I don't generally do Politics What I do know is it is unfair to put all the "Sweaty's" in the same category, we have always found anywhere north of Fort William the folks are diamonds, provided us,(ze engleesh), treat them right they will really go an extra mile for ya !! I'd be quite happy for Scotland to go Independent, I am already financially independant !! That way we wouldn't be supporting anywhere near all of the UK's Universal Credit brigade then, we wouldn't be providing housing for millions of so called refugees, etc etc etc. The only fly in the ointment last referendum was that the English Govt did not want Scotland to keep the Oil and Gas rights, off our Northern Shores ............................ Yeah sure they didn't, without income from that their Economy would be even more buggered than it already is !! Oil and Gas is in Scottish Coastal waters, so yes of course it should stay here !! Hadrian had the right idea I'd be happy to help erect the border, but it should run across the Cally Canal line You can all keep the "Southern Townie Jocks" Back to the Pug Van, Customer has just viewed it with me and authorised the extra works, Rebuilt Rack, Welding work on Chassis Captive Nuts, and new Exhaust System, his view, like mine, the structure, interior and exterior is in good nick, the Engine and Gearbox is fine and a genuine 67k miles, and with all the politics regarding Diesels going on, why buy a Brand new van, his bill will be around £2k I expect, but like he said, " I cant buy a brand new van for 2k, and wouldn't want to in our current economic climate, will probably retire and fuck off somewhere nice in a year or 2 " !! I agree with him. Box is now out, Clutch & DMF going in in a minute, and the Rack and Subframe Bolts will be here today / tomorrow Van should be finished by Wednesday night, so this big job, plus a busy month in the workshop and also flipped 6 Cars means it will be my best October yet with this Business Agree with Nick, good news on the Tax for the used newer Diseasels, probably another reason my buddy decided to keep his Expert Van
  2. LOL, I don't but I should have with the 07 Pug Expert Van I have in here for about a weeks work and going up in days rather than hours ...................... Fuckin thing should have been dumped in the Loch !! Guy has had it from new, 67350 Miles, came in for a Belt (10 yrs) and Clutch / DMF, then I found the Rear half of the Exhaust rattling around rotten and the Steering Rack is absolutely pissing out oil from the column seal, and finally the piece de resistance, getting the Subframe out 3 bolts snapped / stripped in Chassis, so now a 'windows into Chassis' welding job too And to cap it all cogbox is firmly seized on the rear dowel !! 6 hours on the bastard today, and the box isn't yet out, bill is going to come to more than the van is worth !! Salt on the roads, they use neat brine up here I reckon
  3. +1 for 6 Kva , that's what we use for the whole house when the leccy goes off up here Only thing I have to turn off is the Hot Tub
  4. LOL, don't think I'll earn that much at it I've just recently bought myself a few new Workshop goodies, including the V serial Decoder, and an Autel Hand Held TPMS Sensor Reader / Diagnoser / Programmer. I can program Factory TPM Sensors, (very expensive) with the Dealer Machines I have, but for the stuff I don't have Dealer Kit for, and also for Programming the cheaper pattern TPMS Sensors the Autel is a must have................. Our Local Muppet Tyre "Fitters" are always breaking the bloody things, or mixing the Rims / Sensors up,. then they send the Customer to me to sort 'em out
  5. OK then, I'll do them for £4 via paypal, same day service BTW is that V serial ?? justlooking's worked fine, his was V serial, they are the ones that are not so easy to get
  6. I'd imagine if you use plastic ones you can re use them next time What's actually worrying me the most is how the fuck do ya think I'd know
  7. I was gonna say that, it's one thing EEPROMMING a Dash Cluster, but "Redundant Mileage" is now stored in EIS's Engine ECU's etc etc and it varies from Car to Car
  8. If he's on his last go then I'd advise spending at Ford, but the last few I've done have been OK
  9. Isn't that the truth And the ones that will always do the slagging off will be the worst offenders when it comes to selling crap or doing bodged repairs
  10. You got a serial number I'm just off out but can do it when I get back
  11. Aye, mine too lol Nick, if you bank transfer me the 50 million, I'll let them know that we are in it together

  13. Is it just me, or is anyone else wondering what kind of pictures / videos those 2 were taking ??
  14. No worries, FWIW you will maybe notice an absence of reply from me to the Reject post Perhaps Marc has been bitten in the past by a Google diagnosis, I know many of my Customers have, he clearly knew the Solenoid valve was a suspect
  15. OUCH !! I would and have done the same for others here with with more than a handful of posts, none of you are in my immediate area and therefore it would not be losing me any business by doing so. I have enough work without needing to tout on any Forum for more business anyways. I even help MB Indie guys in USA with Mercedes Faults, and they help me back when I've got a head scratcher !! That is, or should be IMHO how it works This is, as you rightly say, quite a common knowledge fault !! Clearly Marc hasn't had this before, but he has got to his "Advanced Member Post quota", so I'll tell him what I know freely FFS this isn't MI5, it's the motor trade I wouldn't help a 1 post noobie Billy who had just signed on here to get info quickly. Mind, I don't believe half what You Tube says, there are some right "Tubes" on that Have to sort the wheat from the chaff if going on there
  16. Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve
  17. LOL, you'll be all right I just got bored with doing a few Disco's and down the boozer most lunchtimes, loving it now I'm back
  18. To be fair, (don't know why really cos yeah they are tossers), but 5W and 0W Engine Oils kinda negated the need not to do that, once it's been running for 30 seconds and the Oil is all round it doesn't make F/A difference these days I had a fucktard who did that to one of mine the other day, it was MB and in Park, beautiful pristine C Class W204 Wagon, so it hit the rev limiter at 4k....................... "That Engine is misfiring" says the wank stain ................... I removed the key and locked the Car and slowly looked him up and down straight in the eyes, shook my head in disgust, pointed up the driveway and said "Gates up there mate, goodbye", then I walked back into the Workshop !! Car now sold to a decent old boy, deposit taken, collecting today
